Oh just for the comedy and sound bites alone, I really like the move.

I think this is great. They have a bad GM & now they have a head coach with zero NHL coaching experience, but is as high profile as it gets. I expect Patty's press conferences to be as good as Torts. At least I hope so.

Sakic still has more say, and long term Jones is the right pick. Local boy to promote the hell out of, stud D man. They HAVE to take him.

I have a feeling that MacKinnon might end up being the next Sakic but with Duchene, Stastny, O'Reilly and Landeskog already in the fold it's time to start building the D.

The Avs need D...if Roy doesn't realize that all hope is lost for that team. They have a pretty good looking core of offense there. It's actually amazing to me how poorly they've done.
