thats great for a rookie and for anyone else. but he was drafted #5 (?) overall to be a shutdown CB. IF he isn't playing like it, or at least showing signs of it..................

If you want to beat the Cardinals, don't let Peterson bring it back for a TD. If I'm not mistaken, he has a return for a TD in each of their four wins... and each win was by less than 4 points.

obviously, we wouldn't want Petersen to make a return against us BUT, if we want to beat the Cards, it starts with offense and defense.

he deserves credit for these returns, but looking to our next game......rather face his potential return vs him being a 'shut down' CB.

I think it's only a matter of time before he's both a return threat AND a shut down CB. Although if I were a DC I'd always put him on the biggest WR...

He has the potential to turn into an Antrel Rolle 'cause he's so big, but he easily has a higher top speed & is more fluid than Rolle was when he played CB.

if so thats fine, cause we can't do anything about it. we can only hope "matter of time" is later rather than sooner.

btw - what are the reviews of him so far, as a CB only?

obvously he has the tools, that was never in question.
