look we knew we would lose this game but here are some early take aways

we cant compete with elite teams we simply fail in the talent area

rookies make mistakes but they are learning

8 drops are unacceptable

KC did ok but he needs his playmakers to make plays

jackson has some rust and i expect it to get better

the run defense isnt as advertised

johnson sighting on defense

This loss wasn't on KC.

Whoever is calling plays for the Skins. Good grief will you please grow some balls! 217 passing yards on 22 completions in a game where you were down 17-3 at halftime. 40 pass attempts/217 yards = 5.4 funky ass yards per pass.

That's an outstanding average for a running game. For a passing game, not so much.

While I agree we need to get more aggressive at times, it's hard to tell why we aren't getting more yds per attempt. Are receivers not getting open? Is KC to quick to dump it off? Need to be able to see the film and know what plays are being called. Also, we left a bunch of yds on the field with all of those drops. Atleast 100yds.

If IM Jay Gruden, after this game IM ordering 6 Jugs Machines and putting every WR on roster through ball catching drills from sun up til sun down.

Hold on...did you even watch the game? 8 drops that cost us at least...AT LEAST...70 yards of passing on two plays. The first was at least 20 yards to Garcon that ended up being an INT, he had room to run. Then the pass to Carrier was going to be at least 50 yards.

True on the drops/leaving a lotta yards on the field. I look at someone like Crowder. I don't know if he's a speed demon, but I know he does have some speed. He longest catch of the year thus far is 26 yards and he's averaging 9 yards per catch for the season. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but that's telling me he's not getting many if any plays downfield. And not even necessarily downfield per se, but plays where if after the catch if he makes one guy miss, a 8-10 yard catch becomes a 35-40 or catch and run.

The Skins just don't seem to have many plays where their WRs or pass catchers are behind or even with the opposition's last line of defense. Everything is in front of the last line of defense.

Have you been watching any games? This isn't a one game thing. Take away Rashard Ross's 21.50 ypc avg, and that's only on 4 catches for the year. And the Redskins don't have a single WR or pass catcher period averaging more than 12.27 yards per catch. And that 12.27 ypc belongs to Andre Roberts and his 11 catches for the year.

The Skins have one catch of 40+ yards for the season. Putting them 32nd in that category in a 32 team league. The Skins average 6.3 yards per pass putting them once again dead last in the NFL.

8 drops could affect it

You specifically posted about this game...this single game. I replied to that. YPC would have gone up significantly today if guys had caught the ball.

So you didn't actually watch the game? Thanks.

Had to check some of your facts. Seems we were 30th in the NFL at 6.5/attempt...just ahead of PHI and IND.

Our only deep threat made his first catch of the season today because he has had leg issues all season. Deep threat...leg issues...hmmm...problem?

Julio Jones 12.7 per catch
Deandre Hopkins 13.2/catch
Keenan Allen 10.8/catch
Antonio Brown 13.8/catch
Fitz 12.8/catch
AJ Green 14/catch
Demaryus 12.4/catch

You see...it's not about YPC buddy. We have been conservative but we can't run an offense that doesn't have the players to run it.

These stats are yds per catch. I think the number breed used was yds per attempt which is obviously much lower.
