Fields needs to win games, when the chance is there. So far, that has eluded him. Is everything his fault, of course not, that's just you being dramatic. It's 60 minutes with multiple players and variables, but we are still 2 years in, have a decent supporting cast/team, and still losing at a historic clip. It's the most important position in football. The scrutiny is inevitable. We have already traded away the Number 1 pick because of Fields, and there is a decent chance we do the same in this year's draft, especially if he does show some consistent improvement. The pressure will only get more intense tho. The voices will only get louder.

He needs to ball out here these last 7 games er whatever, but personally, I need to see him ball out in the clutch. In the last 5 minutes. I need to see him win a game. You can hyper-analyze that all ya want, get super defensive of yer boi, I don't care, it's what I need to see from Fields. Until then, he's still gonna get a "meh" from me.

You can’t play the “they had 4 takeaways” game when they completely shit their pants at the end unless you’re also gonna give Fields credit for the game he played up until the end.

I really don't think so. Joe Flacco had a good run with the Ravens and won a SB. But because of their defense and run game I bet he was very rarely personally responsible for many of their wins.

There's 3 types of QBs. Those that move the needle and make a team better....those that make a team worse...and those that don't really move the needle in either direct very often. I'd be willing to bet that most QBs are that 3rd guy.

I don't think anyone is going to. I'm okay with whatever direction the Bears take next season as long as it comes with a coaching staff change. Some fans are gonna gripe but moving on from Fields means you are replacing him with a blue chip QB in the draft and that's likely to keep most fans content. The only thing that would piss me off as a fan this offseason is allowing these coaches to stay on. I'm in favor of showing Poles the door as well but I wouldn't be completely lost if they kept him.

But moving on from Fields isn't what's being discussed here. What I am arguing against is the illogical way his play is being treated vs the rest of the team. No fan in their right mind can excuse what the defense did but single out Fields for what he did. Yet...that's precisely what's happened here.

Oh he is definitely the biggest fucking issue. Particularly with 2 top 10 picks coming up. Coaches can come and go, and nobody will give two shits. Whether this kid fucking clicks or not, is BY FAR the biggest fucking issue, and he really hasn't clicked yet. Very inconsistent from the pocket, his windup is still awful, and his processing is still slow.
