I believe he did spend the bulk of his playing career with Cincinnati, no? I mean, in terms of years with a single team, he was here, for what, 7 years?

Cincinnati was certainly his most productive stop. There were a few years there that he was an excellent coordinator and was doing a reasonable (if not perfect) job of staying out of trouble. I think one thing that Zimmer probably even did better than Xs and Os, was to get the most out of people.
