He said that he'll start as a guard and "cross-train" into center. Which makes sense to me. Center has more responsibilities to take on than guard. Let him take everything in first.

He'll be our starting center Week 1 - barring something not going to plan. IMO

Ok, that works for me. And yes, it does make sense.

If I'm not mistaken the Center is responsible for making the calls on the O line as only he can see both sides. Probably best to ease him in.
