Two things.
When's the last time USC won the second half of a game like that. Usually if they trail it's a loss or they barley win.
Under Helton if they go up by a touchdown or ten points they try to slow the game down run out the clock. They never keep doing what got them the lead. Clay was scared to throw it if they were leading.

Congrats on the win today @fredsdeadfriend!

Your Golden Gophers put a hurting on the Buffs today.

I really expected a lot more from that Karl Dorrell defense.

I guess they had nothing left to give after the TAMU heartbreak.

Thanks man, it was very unexpected, I mean, I was nervous about even winning, after how both teams performed last week. But yeah, it's much harder following up a tough close loss than a tough close win, the one is heart breaking, the other is uplifting.

I will try not to put too much into our defensive effort as it seems Colorado's offense is not very good. It was a bonus to find out we were the first to shut out Colorado in Boulder since 1979. I think we got our #1 WR back this week, so that might have helped as well?

Holy Smokes what a day of football for the PAC12.

Fresno St v UCLA is an instant classic. WHAT A GAME THAT WAS. Jake Haener was Rob Hobbs out there playing with a dead hip and pulling off that win. Incredible performance.

The dam finally burst for Washington. Even though it was against Arky St., this was team that we were supposed to see after the spring and fall camps out there today. There is still some painful questions that aren't going away about what the hell happened with the Montana game, but still, Huskies played a great game today and the heat gets dialed down a bit on the coach staff as we enter PAC play next week.

BYU continues to play well against the PAC well and beat ASU today.

USC v Washington St. was just a ridiculous affair. Hats off to USC bringing in a new QB and goes on a monster tear. Bizarre.

Colorado got absolutely rekt by Minn today.

Oregon and Oregon St. rolled their opponents today.

Utah loses to SDSU. Yikes.

Stanford beats Vandy. Good win for Furd.

Zona is 0-3 and it's going to be a rough year for that program.

All in all, it's been a very eventful out of conference section for the PAC this year. Next week we start getting down to business in the conference.

Washington St. v Utah

Washington v Cal

and UCLA going to play Stanford should all be good games.

How many Pac teams do you think will end up ranked come next week?
Possible that only Oregon and UCLA will be, if ASU gets dropped out of the top 25 with that loss to BYU and that's possible, but it will be close. It was a lot of fun to watch the games today, but the PAC really didn't do all that hot with all these losses to mid-majors.

Bunch of PAC teams have a lot of work to do to get ranked again.

A big difference in the game...both teams lost their starting QB...but USC had Sunshine from Remember the Titans and Wazzou didnt.

What the hell was that 'defensive alignment' on the final drive?? (Couldn't force myself to use the words 'defensive strategy' here)

58s to defend 7 points is too much time?

I told you guys Chip just leaves me speechless and frustrates the hell out of me with these 'bonehead moves' (Couldn't force myself to use the words 'unconventional moves' here)

Almost wish the Bruins didn't score that final TD since they got their asses handed to them all night.

Giving up 2 4th and short first downs on penalties and letting them go 3 for 3 on 3rd down, while going 0-3 on 3rd downs themselves was bad enough to start the game. And the DTR fumble on the 67 yard run to get into the red zone were all killers putting the Bulldogs in the drivers seat all game.

Oh well, Chip the teacher had a chance to keep his team undefeated, but let his team 'learn' the hard way from the experience. :gaah:

Thaaaat's where the USC team I've watched for the last few years went. No give backs.

No, we have a coach trying to get fired so can he use the vaccine as a reason and get about 10 times his actual payout. Cooper was one of the highest rated QB on the west coast when he signed but Rolo chose a walk on to come play and instead of going with Cooper he allowed his “Jalen Hurts” to come back and play on one leg. Not saying at all we would’ve or should’ve won but one coach was coaching to win a job and the other was coaching to get fired.

My biggest issue with UCLA is coach Azz. He's good friends with Chip but he's not a good DC. I don't think Chip Kelly will make any changes either.
