Agreed, anything a semi good female can beat good guys at is not a sport.
Really anything you can do while drinking a beer with a cigarette hanging out of your mouth can't be considered a sport.

I feel like I could do anything while drinking beer and smoking (if I smoked) im not saying I would do those things well but I could do them.

I don't know, I've never been able to master the art of driving while holding a beer and smoking. If they had them do that then I'd defiantly consider it a sport.

I have mastered that, I haven't mastered a beer in the hand and smoking at the same time, let alone doing that and needing a hand on the wheel. I say that takes more skill than being a kicker, I guess maybe not for UW, but for most schools.

A friend on another board looked into Mora's contract. His seat is not likely all that hot due to the 14.76mil buy out in a state like CA.
What caught my eye was his bonus structure for the contract:
- achieving a Graduation Success Rate of 56% (can they set the bar a little lower?!) ($25K/season)
- winning 6 games (?!) ($10K)
- appearing in the CCG ($50K)
- winning the CCG ($50K)
- winning PAC-12 Coach of the Year ($50K)
- winning National Coach of the Year ($100K)
- appearing in any Bowl game ($40K)
- appearing in an NY6 Bowl game ($100K)
- appearing in the CFB Playoff ($100K)
- appearing in the CFB Championship game ($150K)
- winning the CFB Championship game ($200K)

Look at that top one. He only needs a 56% grad rate? That is a fucking travesty.

Thats something he probably personally negotiated with the AD to try to compete with USC. You also got to remember his ties to the NFL and how he sells that to recruits who dont give a rip about an education or going to classes.

Of the latest reported grad rate for all PAC schools, UCLA is 2nd behind only Standford.

UCLA is a public university isn't it?

Putting things in perspective, it's not even 3 percent of his annual salary. (2.89%)

It's just one of those low hanging fruit bonuses and it could be based on a state wide student athlete grad rate. IDK, but it's such a small bump, I really don't think it matters much considering your point. (Which is something I've been saying all year, he's not going anywhere. :L)

I wonder what we would see with some of the other PAC schools?

:noidea:

Mora should be gone and would be if UCLA cared about football as much as they do about basketball. Mora has his chance and made no advances while USC was put in the corner. Moras on a carousel going round n round never getting anywhere.

They're looking at it as just going to a bowl brings some cash to the school and conference.

They are locked in for a few years, it is a public university so it's not like the money due can just be written off.

Mora lived off of CRN's talent and did a fine job moving a bottom feeder into at least the mix. Once Rick's roster talent purged out, we got to really see what Mora has brought to the table. A lot of potential but not much development and not very complementary either.

The Bruins are due for a real head coach to bring the school back to one of the front runners in the PAC once again. I'm really not in the know of quality prospects to be had but as a Rams fan, I do know talented leadership can turn the ship around in the right direction.

Until that day comes, I as many Bruins fans will just suffer through.
