First I've heard of it. Usually Jon Wilner (San Jose Mercury News) is the first one to get this kind of info. How good is Tracy Pierson a $9.95er that covers UCLA? He said this:
There are rumors circulating that the Pac-12 could decide soon to shut down football for the fall season. We have yet to confirm it from reliable sources, but we are aware that the conference's presidents and chancellors are increasingly wary of the potential risks of liability.

Very underrated postSo is the Coliseum on the watch list to lose power and water?
Been hearing rumblings about the California schools are the ones pushing to cancel fall football, especially after the PAC announced they would provide a massive bridge loan to all the schools if football and basketball can't happen till spring, etc...I was listening to full ride earlier this afternoon on SiriusXM.. Chris Childers was saying towards the end of the show that some shocking news was about to be announced Saturday. A school from a P5 conference will shut down sports this fall altogether and it may or may not be followed by the conference. He was telling the audience not to panic, it's not the end all be all yet.
Not sure why he just didn't say the school's name. Anyone hear anything? Seeing the way how the PAC conference will start fall camps, makes me think it's one of it's schools.
looks like the la teams aren't handling the virus too well.
USC-UCLA game ‘likely’ to be moved from Sept. 26 to later in the season, Mike Bohn says – Orange County Register
Doesn't say anything about how they're handling the virus. They're still scheduled to begin training camp on August 17th.
Bohn appears to be anticipating having to move it back, but that was because they don't have state, county or university clearance to start traditional practices. He also talked about the bye dates that the PAC built into the schedule as well.
USC has tested nearly 400 athletes and 9 came back positive. If memory serves, only 2 of them were football players.
That's odd. I posted this on the thread a few posts up.
I just figured since San Francisco only has 67 deaths and la is one of the largest hot spots in the world for the virus right now... it might have had something to do with it. You would know more than me if you're down there now. I
