Slovis had 4 TOs last year (at home). Oregon's defense isn't going to be worse.

Slovis aint no rookie no more and he has a boatload of top receivers. The hardest thing to defend is a perfectly thrown pass.

According to Reign of Troy, 4* TE Lake McRee (Lake Travis High, Austin Texas) has committed to USC for the class of 2021.

I guess he was originally a Texas commit and chose USC over Auburn, LSU, Penn St., Purdue and Washington.

Nope, probably 3 main candidates at this point. A true freshman, someone with backup experience in the system, and a grad transfer with plenty of experience.

The fuked up part this season is teams who do need time to figure out who they should have under center are going to have to do it with less information.

Last i heard it was Shough leading the way but i think that was before Brown had gotten in front of coaches live.

Cal at #2 in the north is more indicative of what people think Washington will be like with Lake this year. No one thinks Cal is really that close to Oregon. If lake is anywhere close to what Husky fans expect of him they should be in the second spot nipping on oregons heals.

Can you even imagine being a first year head coach at any level, not getting spring ball, not having direct access to your players, facing all of the unknowns of a major world pandemic and not even knowing if/when/what a season or partial season might look like?

This is going to be an odd season for all teams, but how fucked up is it to be a first year HC in such a climate?

Its fucked up for sure but I would guess any coach in that position gets a mulligan for this season.

Nice article about Slovis. says Slovis was the most accurate passer (57.1) in the country on throws 20 or more yards down the field. Heisman winner Joe Burrow who was praised for his accuracy had a percentage of 56.6 on similar throws. I agree when people say the offense USC runs is passer friendly but to complete passes 20 or more yards down the field you have to be pretty accurate. You do have to take into account that USC has really good receivers but Burrow had just as good WRs to throw to if not a slightly better group and probably had better protection to have time to set his feet.

Well lots of things went wrong there but Slovis did throw for more yards than Herbert and just as many TDs but two more INTs
