did he get that new TV deal signed with AOL and MySpace?
Makes senseI heard he's working on a deal with Myface and Spacebook.
Larry Scott sold the PAC for some shiny beads and trinkets?
I'm sure AG will not be amused. I'm not either, but...

Shall we roll out the lengthy list of Oregon H.S players that didnt commit to Nike U.?
Simon had been CBd for over a month to USC by most analysts, including the UW ones. Yes, we offered and were in pursuit to groom him as a LB, but fromwhat I heard about his recruitment, USC has more holes to fill given what happened the past two years with recruiting and he wants a shot at RB as well.
UW, Nike U., and other PAC schools will lose some top targets to USC this year. Especially with the massive class size they plan to take. In other news, water is wet.
Past two years with recruiting? 2018 USC had top 5 class.I'm sure AG will not be amused. I'm not either, but...

If you're in a state with talent, part of your recruiting goals is always to keep the local talent.I e never understood peoples obsession with in state or out of state. If you get the guys that want to play for the school and have the talent who cares where they come from

1980's/early 90's thinking. If you weren't a blueblood back then you pretty much had to go after your own talent in your region hard to steal enough top shelf guys to be competitive. Top guys either hit a major program or sometimes stayed home either because of relationships with coaches or to stay closer to family.I e never understood peoples obsession with in state or out of state. Along with what socaljim said, local kids are less likely to get homesick and want to transfer or de-commit.
Plus, if the top talent in your state doesn't want to play for you, the top talent in other states won't either. So you're getting lower quality recruits both in and out of state.
Texas has to recruit Texas hard. Thing is, once a flagship football school in a talent rich state gets going, it makes those other schools have to work that much harder to poach the elite talent in that state. Case in point SC.. Once they are cooking, you really think Flowe or Thibidoux head to Oregon? Or Drew goes to Bama? No, they don't.
I know I'll upset some Oregon fans here, but if SC wasn't in a slump like this, would any of the kids that have gone there from CA to AZ be there now if SC was winning double digit wins for the past couple of seasons? Tosu has cherrypicked Texas since the 2016 class.. and it's been easy since Texas has just had it's worse decade performance ever.. However, once Texas gets back to also getting double digit wins (it's coming) it's going to make a lot more difficult for tosu to cherry pick the way it has been. You have to be a fan of a Texas or USC of Ohio State type school to understand this. Yes, some have left but your goal is to always keep the Reggie Bush the Jr. Seau the Matt Lienart amd Carson Palmers here. Troy Polamalu was and Oregon High School player and if he was coming outta HS now you're damn sure Oregon would be all in trying to keep him close to home.
There's a lot of players here in so cal and in California and I wont say there's a type of pride in the state like Texas has. I have friends from the Marine Corps who ride now and all their jackets have the Marine Corps emblem but they also have the Texas star on it and if you see their instagrams they always include #texaspride or something of that sort. Here since so many are transplants we don't have the same but what kids have had was a love of USC football and it's usually their dream to play for the Trojans. USC when rolling gets their pick of the litter . Not saying they always pick right but usually they did. Then teams from Arizona or Washington would come with 20 kids from Cali who USC didn't pick and they would play hard against USC with that chip on their shoulder.I know I'll upset some Oregon fans here, but if SC wasn't in a slump like this, would any of the kids that have gone there from CA to AZ be there now if SC was winning double digit wins for the past couple of seasons?
