I would rather see a list based on capacity %. otherwise comparing different stadiums with different capacity is like comparing someone who has a 2 gallon bucket with someone with a 5 gallon bucket.

Neat. More excuses.

One team had more butts in seats than any other. Deal with it.

BTW, the whining over stadium capacities being different would hold more water if the ducks had even one game where they reached that capacity.

I mean it is cute you guys had the legislature illegal get you public funds for your remodel since none of your alums would put up the model like the State of Washington law says, but it’s all good, we got an Alex Brink Jersey and a uniform of Butch in the concrete of the mistake by the lake.

High school sized stadiums should be easy to fill imo.

So what’s the excuse when cities who’s surrounding population couldn’t fill a stadium yet the homeless outside of the stadium and you guys don’t come close to averaging a sellout?

Q&A on the new Husky Stadium

Q: How much public money is going into the stadium?

A: No public money is being used, but UW athletics is drawing on a $250 million loan from the school’s internal lending program, which will then sell 30-year bonds to finance the construction. Having more debt on the books does have drawbacks — it could cause the university’s bond rating to be downgraded and could limit the amount UW can borrow for future projects. The UW also could run into problems if attendance at future games is worse than expected.

its not an excuse its like comparing how many people can you get in a minivan vs a motor cycle. how much beer in a growler vs half growler. if capacity is larger then yeah your attendance is going to be higher..

Bonds aren’t public money? Hmm that’s a new one. The only reason Husky Stadium got their public money (which is illegal in the state) was because WSU got a kickback when renovating Husky Stadium was up for debate and the state taking over the athletic departments of state schools but it was negotiated to where they didn’t want to open up Pandora’s box.

You still aren’t averaging a sellout...so point? 99% of your fan base and donors lives in the city Muttsville is located. No other school (including UCLA and USC) can say the same. If the Pac 12 office were half way smart we’d have a sellout every game but they choose to play home games during fire season which fans are told not to go to and choose scrub conference home games in November when students are out.

No, if you aren't filing the pint anyway it would still take up the same volume in a pitcher.

It's an excuse, nothing more.

Look, UW sits right outside of downtown Seattle. Of course they have advantages many others do not. We have way more alumni in the area than Oregon does. That's a bigger factor.

And no, you can't have it both ways. Your listed capacity is like 54k, but you can get 60k doesn't mean you count it full at 54. They were able to use that to claim a sellout streak that was bogus. Doesn't fly here.

Stop being defensive about it anyway. Of course your demand is down. It happens to every single team that's on a downturn. They will jump back on if/ when they have another upturn.
