All I can say is Fuck Cal. Fuck them so hard. Their struggles this year show how shitty their coach is and hopefully now we will never lose a recruit to them again.

He is an awful coach. Any top 20 coach in the country would have that group he has ranked and contending for a natty.

Cal has a really limited bench. Their starting 5 is about as talented as anyone's but after that the drop off is pretty bad. That makes the Wallace injury a big blow, aside from the fact that he's their leading scorer.

First time in 7 years.

We're even ranked higher than Kentucky.

:hammer:

It's Pac season so FUCK USC!!! But at any other time I would say: my sincerest congrats to Enfield and USC. They make the Pac better. I'm happy for their success and hope it continues (except against AZ).

I was just making this exact same point to a buddy of mine. Future recruits, take notice.

And Colorado didn't receive any votes for the latest polls.

They get a sweep in Washington and it will happen. But getting road sweeps in this balanced conference isn't very likely. Losing that Utah game is gonna hurt more as the season progresses if the conference standings stay as tight as they are.

I've watched several UW games. They've looked different every time. Lots of potential though with the length and scoring ability. They foul a bit much, but they look tough to beat when they can push and go up and down the court. CU was getting killed with that and turnovers early. Dug too deep a hole and Andrews was money down the stretch.

The best descriptor is simple: young.

Lots of talent, but this team is incredibly young and inexperienced. You can see it in the way they start letting off the gas if they have leads, and the way they start lobbing bad shots when they get down by about 10. The foul trouble they get into shows too.

They're fun to watch when I get the chance. Caught the Arizona game and felt lucky to be so close at halftime. Arizona showed UW what talent along with poise (and two monsters in the paint) can look like in the 2nd half.

Overall though, they're 5-1 in the Pac-12 and that's not nothing. Beat Utah and I gotta think they're cracking the top 25.

They still have some really bad OOC losses so idk if they'd be ranked even after a win against Utah, but it certainly would put them in good position to increase their tourney resume come March. Every Pac game is huge for teams that could wind up on the bubble.

Some big games tonight:

Arizona @ Stanford
ASU @ CAL
USC @ Oregon

The USC-Oregon one will be the one I'm most interested in, but ASU needs a win against Cal to stay alive imo.

Ya, but they have 4 wins that are better than Arizona's best win.
