So, a campus WAY BACK in the day, divided over segregation, with the VAST MAJORITY going against the minority of racists makes UMn as a whole "racist just like everyone else" how???

Dude, I got better things to do, but I may just have to do some searching to BURY your redneck arse in the mountains of racist sh1t out there going against your hillbilly trailer trash school.

UMn's got 50,000+ students right now, probably close to or over 10,000 faculty, of course a few random individuals are going to end up being pieces of sh1t, I admitted as much early on in our discussion on this very topic.

But I'm talking about the University AS A WHOLE.

At least blacks were allowed on the UMn campus. They were allowed to play sports and even hold positions on the faculty. Were they allowed onto WVU's campus? When were they first allowed on campus? When were they first allowed to play sports?

That’s not going to help you get recruits if you are winning 11 games once every 60 years clown.
Having a multi billion dollar endowment isn’t going to matter unless your school is paying players with endowment funds. Which is illegal.

So, you think UMn won't have another 10+ game winning season in the next 50-60 years? lol

So... you have a roster full of players who went to Michigan, just because it's "Michigan"??? I don't believe that, for one, but IF, and that is a big IF, but if that is true, I'm sorry for those idiots for drinking the kool-aid. Michigan has hardly been relevant in football since former Gopher's Biggie Munn and Earl Martineau left the program.

Michigan is the #1 public university. They are in the top 10-20 in the US for all colleges. (Could be in the top 10, but I don’t feel like looking it up)
They have the largest stadium in CFB
They have a national brand
Ann Arbor has been voted the best college town in America multiple times

UM is one of the premier academic universities in the country. The acceptance rate is under 25% (To put it in perspective — Minnesota is a great school and their acceptance rate is 50%). You need at least a 3.85 and a minimum of 1350 on your SAT. And even if you have the minimum requirements — you can still be put on a waiting list to get in.

Minnesota University literally names buildings after these people. This was not some random folks, it was a dean and a professor and a comptroller.

I never stated WVU doesn’t have racism in their history. I’m not on a high horse like you ya cocksucking canadian.

This isn’t a competition to see who’s university is least racist. It’s to show you that your college isn’t as perfect as your blind ass makes it out to be.

Seriously why are you allowed on the internet?

Our country's fight for Civil Rights was LED BY UMners.

2 of the Civil Right's BIG SIX leaders were UMn grads. 1/3rd of them. The one was leading the NAACP throughout the 60s.

And two of the four leaders in Congress were UMners, the Republican Senate Minority Leader Everitt Dirkson, was a UMn Alum, and Democratic Whip Hubert H Humphrey was a UMn Alum.

And UMn football team had several blacks on it's team, including the first black All-American at QB, Sandy Stephens.

The bb team also had several blacks on it's roster.

Congrats

None of that means Minnesota was perfect when it came to race.

Dude, MSU was already an established B1G conf team when Dantonio showed up at MSU, and didn't he follow Saban? lol You saying Saban left his cupboards empty???

When Biggie Munn showed up at MSU, they hadn't ever done anything. Dude, STFU, lol. Biggie's in the cfb Hall of Fame for a reason. Munn Arena is named such for a reason. They made him the AD for a reason. They let MSU into the Big Ten for a reason. That reason?

Biggie Munn.
Saban sucked at MSU and he also wasn't the coach right before Dantonio, dumbass. You're not even worth the time. Way to establish full dipshit status.

UMn has a fairly new stadium, not the biggest, but bigger is not always better, when your coach sucks.
UMn has a national brand, not so much lately in football, but that changed almost instantly. It would be a permanent thing had UMn beat UW when they had gameday there. But it was only Fleck's 3rd year.
I'll give you the college town thing. Not everyone wants to go to a small college town. Some people want the big metropolitan experience, and then UMn kicks Michigan's butt.

UMn is one of the premier academic universities in the country. Not as "premier" as Michigan, and unlike our WVU fan, I can fully admit to such realities. But when talking about football, it's not like only future brain doctors play football, lol.

I'll never diss Michigan as a "school". But their football coach? lol A putz.

Coach comes first, DUH. Then the recruits.

And plenty of recruits want to go to UMN, I mean, they have a student body of over 50,000. That is more than Michigan, isn't it?

What does student body have to do with sports? While UM has almost 50,000 students — it has nothing to do with the caliber of recruits they get. Central Florida has 60,000 students and they aren’t even a P5 school.

And again — where is Minnesota getting these elite recruits? The Clemson you like to use as an example used Georgia, which they are located right next to. Both all everything QB that has led Clemson to national titles — both from Georgia.
When you live less than an hour from the state — it makes recruiting much easier.

Not many recruits who grow up in the South are going to choose to move north to throw the football in the cold.

It is what Nebraska fans are missing too. Going into the south and trying to pull an elite recruit is next to impossible. They are brought up on SEC and ACC football. They don’t even know what snow and cold is. What B1G teams other than OSU and once in a blue moon, UM get, is the leftovers.

I never said they were perfect, individually. I said AS A WHOLE, as an institution, yes, there were internal conflicts, as there is all over the country and always has been, BUT, the Univ of Minnesota, as far as I know, ALWAYS came down on the right side of history on the issue of Civil Rights. The Racists NEVER won here. Unlike at other universities, maybe WVU?

Oh, EXCUSE ME, I didn't give a shit about a crappy Mich Cowpie St in the early 2000s, when we rarely played them, and they rarely won enough to be paid attention to.

Our Senior RB and one of our top WRs are both from Georgia, thank you.

Minnesota is not and never will be a national brand.

I will try to help you understand how large the difference is between Minnesota and Michigan.

Minnesota’s contract with Nike 7 years $15 million dollars

Michigan’s contract with Jumpman 11 years $175 million

Michigan was given a signing bonus worth as much as the entire apparel deal Minnesota has.

Why?!? Because UM is a national brand.

I don't care enough to do the looking into the situations, to see what REALLY is going on. Sounds like some nutjob libtards wanting to tear down the whole country and turn it into a socialist shithole, all in the name of virtue signaling and racist identity politics, to me.

But UMn did more to advance the Civil Rights movement than WVU did, and it's not even close.
