It's a nice breakdown of what happens pre snap, with coverages and how a QB hopefully pulls everything together.

now lets apply this to Rg3 shall we ? just as a running qb like kaep does so does RG3 . on the play where he missed the "open dig route read " he trusted his legs more to get the 1st down then throwing the 15 yd pass

why ? because young running qbs will always default to their best asset , running , when they "need " a play

Rg3 is going thru the early stages of this as kaep is going thru the "mid" stages of this . Kaep struggled this pre season too , why ?

could it be he was working to "trust " what he sees more ?
