I was never the biggest Rak guy, but what problems, particularly for what appearances to be a physical altercation issue, was Rak a part of when with the Skins.

I was dead set against the trade for Griffin. Having said that by the time the Baltimore game rolled around I was all in.

My opinion of Griffin changed when:
Cooley also mentioned Griffin’s comments to members of the media after Cousins beat the Browns in late 2012, when Griffin was held out because of injury. ” I was not happy with the decision,” Griffin said then, even though the Redskins had won the game. “At the end of the day, that’s the decision they went with. I respect that, but it doesn’t mean I necessarily have to like it.” Griffin also said that it was a “great business trip,” and that the win was “huge” for the Redskins, but Cooley said players looked askance at his comments.

Dude he helped the team win. What was up your arse to act like that.

10-6 in 2012 - Cousins engineered the tie that allowed Crawfords punt return to set up the winning field goal. Cousins let the victory over Cleveland. Alf had 200 yards rushing and 3 TDs vs Dallas at the end of the year so I think Griffin got a little too much credit for that year.

That was awesome! I have not been the biggest Cooley fan (post Redskins career). However - this type of thing may change my mind. He made it very clear that he said both good & bad things @ RG3, but the media focused on a small portion of it. Also - regardless he was just stating his honest opinion & won't be swayed by anyone. That was a very good 10 minutes of radio - thanks.

Ryan Clark was on First Take and basically said Cooley talks out of his ass on the regular and he's never put much stock into it. He said RG3 was/is a better teammate than Big Ben for example. But no one gives a shit because Big Ben wins games and has rings.

I used to like Cooley a lot, but it does seem like he says shit just to say it and get clicks/headlines. I don't even know how he would be so dialed in to what's happening in the locker room. He hasn't been in there since 2012. I dunno, seems like he's speaking for a whole lot of people and it's starting to come out that some of these people don't agree. Or if anything, they don't agree with him throwing it out there. It's like he broke some man code of NFL locker rooms.

Cooley backtracked a bit saying now it's how he "perceived it" versus him stating all these things as facts. "Trent Williams never told me he didn't like Robert, I just assumed he didn't". Gimme a break man. He perceived that the OL didn't like RG3, he never had one of them tell him that. RJF called him on it and I'm glad. He said exactly..."I believe a lot of the things I said are true". Again, no facts, just his perception.

But Cooley got what he wanted. His name is everywhere. People checking him out on twitter, listening to the pod cast, etc.

I'm not sure why there's so much hate for Cooley on this issue. What he's saying is nothing new or isn't what's already been reported from other sources. RGIII put the o-line in some impossible positions at times and, on at least certain occasions, publicly threw his teammates under the bus. Santana Moss took exception to him doing so during the 2013 season, Santana Moss takes exception to Griffin’s failure to take blame, and a Yahoo article took issue with him doing that the next season. RG3 throws Redskins teammates under bus after his own bad game There are, of course, other instances of this type of conduct, but these are simply illustrative of what Robert brought -- or didn't bring -- to the table.

If you've ever followed Cooley's show, you know he's a straight shooter and gives great film breakdowns that you won't generally hear on other media outlets.

And Ryan Clark? Please.

That was definitely a revelation, but, depending on the circumstances, I don't think you always need for someone to come up and say something directly. One shining example of this was what the o-line thought of Jeff George, which culminated in that one play where he got knocked to the ground and every o-lineman walked away from him. No words needed there. Same with Robert. He put him o-line in impossible situations at times by doing things like rolling into pressure, taking seven step drops on a play designed for a five step drop and getting sacked. Couple that with blaming other teammates and you get a pretty clear picture of how others viewed him.
