Someone certainly will...

Predictions are all over the place, so why not here? How much will this once-in-a-lifetime player bank?

My first guess will be $50 per season for 12 years... Yes, that is $600,000,000.00...

(Guess as many times as you want)

I think he'll be a Dodger.

Forbes magazine says Ohtani made 65 mill this season......35 of it in endorsements.....absolutley insane money......

Im still gonna say 40 mill tho.......these owners cant be that crazy to pay above 50.....can they??

Rockies will pay him 70 million because the owner constantly thinks the team is ready to compete!

I heard a baseball reporter say $60/yr for 10 years. That is crazy....

I think $50 is not out of the question. Especially if a few teams are in...

(I hope Boston is not one of them)....

It should be $50 a year with options every two years. Dudes worth more than the budget of quite a few teams in the league.

I like the idea of a smaller base but incentives for starts made as a pitcher, so $40 base maybe. Seems to help both sides manage the risk.

Yeah but if a team wants him they are going to have to pay him as though he can hit and pitch I’d imagine. To me I think he is worth $60 as both so $50 is a good gesture of we will pay you as though you are pitching. I wouldn’t offer team options, I’d offer him players options every 2 years. Incentive laden would be best but I don’t think any player is going to sign a long term deal that is incentive heavy.

Since he's in such demand of course many teams will offer something like this that makes sense for both parties but in the end some team will just overpay to get him, probably the Dodgers.

A lot rumors about Giants going all in on him. Hopefully you guys get he or Yamamoto and we get the other.

He needs to hurry the hell up and pick a team. We need the market to get moving so the Mariners can sign their next super utility player
