I'm actually thinking of a possible relocate to the Dana Point area in Orange County. It's the traffic and some of the loonies that reside in OC that are the key reasons why I'm hesitating taking the step.

I wouldn't mind the traffic if it was more predictable. The problem is that a drive that some days takes 20 minutes takes an hour and a half on others. So, when do you leave? Do you risk being early or late?

Exactly. And it's only gotten worse since I lived there in the 90s.

I'll do it if I can ensure the job allows me to use roads other than the freeway for the most part. Lot to like about So Cal for sure. And the easier access to the airport is a biggie, for easier travel to my parents who are in their twilight years and a big concern to me.

I've had access to so much free cheesecake in my life, it hardly appeals anymore

Worst for me, is everyone I knew always wanted to visit that restaurant when we got together. Like I didn't spend 80 hours a week there already...

Yep, headed up some of the opening teams about the country. In training and Human Resources out of Calabasas once we established our HQ there in the mid 90s. When I started with the Cheese, I was literally working out of the back of my car and at the above level office out of the Redondo restaurant, living out of Playa del Rey and loving it. As we expanded I kept having to travel further and further distances to manage the work. Hated that.
