Palmer will be the next Josh.
We need another DT, 2 safeties that can actually play the game. A CB for when Peanut gets hurt again.
Some back-up Oline , Center, Guard and Tackle.
QB is the least of my worries. We have the QB whisperer.:suds:

Palmer will he the next Josh? A QB That has never won 3 games in a row? A QB has lost more games then won? A QB that will he teaching high schoolers how to play?

I know this isn't a big deal but we still need a top notch punter and long snapper. Pat Mannely isn't ready is 39 and is a free agent. We cant go thru another season with a punter like Podlesh. Veteran safety would he nice as wel

I see his point Leo... Palmer's abilities will be maximized under Trestman. I really don't think that back up QB is a huge concern right now. But you and others pointed out some great concerns that need to be addressed first.

3 tech DT is still a big need along with a Safety, then CB, back up TE, Center, and a young QB, as I see it. I really don't see Idonje making the squad, not after the Allen pick up. You could argue we still need a mic lb. Back up RB if one is available later.

Ha... Jordan Palmer is absolutely as talented as McCown. Doesn't worry me in the slightest.

We already have our punter on the roster. We have two, actually. Kevin Butler's son and the other guy who I forget his name. He punted for us in the last two pre-seasons. One of those two will be our punters.

We also signed a long snapper to a future's contract the day after the season ended.. So both positions are taken care of.

As far as a vet FS. Dude... we have no money.

I can't trust 2 rookies and 2nd year player.

Going into the season with a rookie long snapper doesn't see like a great thing to do.... Butler is no better or worse than Podlesh. We need better. We need veteran competition. We have money, not a lot, but we do have money.

The 3 guys out of place don't have #s yet. As far as Shea is concerned I think a ( ? ) would be appropriate.:laugh3:
A lot of unfamiliar names here. Especially were O-line is concerned. But I guess, just most are camp bodies.
Also, what stood out to me was the Texas A&M QB. I forgot about him.
My apologies . Yeah this shit is hard to follow. Everything didn't line up like on the Bears page .

Sorry, it's not realistic. We have plenty of punters. We signed Butler to a pretty decent contract, same with the other guy who we had last camp. They're your only options. Best to deal with it. We're not signing a vet punter. There will not be four punters in training camp. lol.

Also, you're worried about a rookie long snapper? Really? Honestly, if you can snap balls between your legs well in college. You can do it in the pros. Same damned thing.

lol, No problem. I actually had to edit my post quickly because I took your word for it, even though I didn't see the third punter. I was about to say, heading into camp with three punters is already unheard of.

If rookie long snappers were the norm then why have we had Pat for so long at a decent price when you can just get a rookies every year? I think its a little more than just snapping the ball between your legs. Its a special type position that not everyone can play and you want someone who can run down and make a tackle. Competition is always good. Butler will be making more money from the Steelers this year than from the Bears. Cheap sometimes means exactly what it sounds like. Giving the job to him irca rookie just puts us in the same spot as last season.....a bad punter hurts the defense.

If you've had a few shouldn't you see more like 8 or 10 Ps on that list?

Oh, and btw, I'm pretty sure I've never seen a "long snapper" drafted as one. They may end up one, but never drafted as a "long snapper". You may get an invite into camp because you're one for a try out but its not a position you draft for.

In fact, that's how the O lineman for the Bears came into the game to be the long snapper, he was the long snapper on his college team.

I wouldn't want to waste a draft pick on a LS either but.....

Ryan David Pontbriand (born October 1, 1979) is anAmerican football long snapper who most recently played for the San Francisco 49ers of theNational Football League (NFL). He played college football for Rice University, and was drafted in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. He has the distinction of being the highest-drafted long snapper in the history of the NFL Draft.

I can't tell...I mean, really I can't tell. This long snapper thing...that it's even being discussed. This is a joke, right?

Off to Vegas. Can't wait to see the Super Bowl lines at the sports book!
