for reasons that only God knows the Big XII is loved by the computers. That and the desire for most to not see a rematch along with OU's chance to be on a big stage the same day that the rest of us are playing CCG (since the BIG XII was smart enough to drag out the season for an extra week) all work in OU's favor.

If you watched tonight you saw the "experts" saying they don't understand the OU loss. They'll just call it an anomaly and vote them in.

Game this year is Big XII vs SEC. It might as well be written in stone.

yeah i saw that. robert smith was making excuses about the game being delayed as a potential reason for their loss. bottom line is they lost to an unranked team, at home i believe?

Nobody wants a rematch and just a few weeks ago, OU was the only team that could challenge LSU or Bama and when they beat OSU, everyone will feel that way, again.

Either that or I will be eating crow on this thread for the better part of the next year. :suspicious:

Whether you beat OSU or not NOBODY is going to believe you can beat LSU or Bama

If OU, with their depleted offensive staff can beat Okie Lite than while I'd still pick LSU to win it wouldn't be unreasonable to believe OU couldn't win.

Pretty much everyone is an underdog to LSU at this point.

yes but so the BIG XII has their last game that day too.

What used to hurt the PAC 10 was that our last game was the week before the CCGs so the voters last thing on their mind was the CCGs not the last game of the season.

Got to hand it to the BIG XII they circumvented that issue nicely.

Not having a CCG never hurt the Pac 10. USC played for the BCS title twice the last decade. Other than USC, the Pac 10 did not have a legit BCS title contender the last decade either.

If Oklahoma wins out, I think alot of voters will stick them #2

I think they'll gain ground with the computers as well...From here on out, Alabama is only losing ground with the computers...

I wonder if there is any scenario out there where LSU loses the SEC Championship but still makes the National Championship

When USC was undefeated they went. If they lost a game those with CCGs passed them.

Nice try.

Also, Ohio State had no problem playing for the BCS title 3 times the last decade, and they had no CCG. tOSU also played for the BCS title with 1 loss. Nice try. CCG's are worthless and do not have much meaning other than crowning 1 champ. that's about the only thing I liked about the Big 12 CCG; CCG's prevent co-champs, but they have zero effect on who plays for the BCS title.

The SECCG this year only serves as an obstacle for LSU to go to the NCG....

'Zona St's collapse has hurt DuckU in the numbers game - I don't think they'll have a credible opponent in the CG, though the Quacks are certainly more worthy than Okie if they run the table.

Bengal Tigers have to go through Arky and UGA in back-to-back games. Not a sure thing by any means. SEC champion going undefeated is more the exception than the norm. But LSU does have the crazy depth, and this is the part of the year where this often tells the tale.

That means a victory @ #2 Okie State will put OU into the #2 spot.

LoL, OU still moves up in the poll.

This is a speed bump but OU is certianly in the front seat of the vehicle at least, perhaps riding bitch.

Delusion at it's FINEST

You guys aren't jumping Bama unless the voters decide EN MASSE they don't want a rematch. OU is done, son. You move up, but not up enough to jump Bama or Oregon

Keep hope alive tho!
