It’s all goodSorry, my bad. I meant to put this in NFL News. Maybe it was the drinks tonight out with my GF.
A little past the nine minute mark Craig asks Matt about RR and JDR. Logan adds some insight too. After that Matt and Logan talk about playing for Kyle and some of the things he does that makes him such a good coach/play caller. It is a little geeky football strategy but very informative.
Having a hard time understanding this comment. The FO picked up a KC WR, a punt returner whom they think could be the missing link on ST, drafted a WR even though they have 4 healthy very good ones, drafted another RB even though they have 2 awesome ones and signed or drafted another 4-5 OL. The ONLY area on offense they didn't back fill would be TE of which they apparently are happy with.
i believe this is true because truthfully they failed to get much offensive help
SO a 3rd string rb , , a possible PR , a couple of late round o/lineman , a turnstile RT and a broke dick center constitutes some deep improvement ?Having a hard time understanding this comment. So to clarify, we added WR's, OL, RB and a new backup QB. Throw in a competent OC as well. How did they fail to get much offensive help?
well lets simply go with the odds of late round draft picks making it long term in the nfl . now counting on late round picks to become long term rookie starters and contributors isnt the way to do business . you dont bank on outliers , you hope they make it , but you dont say they are instant upgradesThe first rounder cant be a wr, a qb, an olineman, and a rb at the same time.
The redskins picked up four olinemen without getting rid of any their olinemen, released last years starting center (indicating they are comfortable with their new depth), got the rb that EB wanted, got a blazing fast PR in undrafted free agency, and got a backup qb who played better than our best qb last year, TH.
You’re being contrary again just to be contrary.
I have some strong opinions about this. If you have played, coached or watched young men play for many years as I have, draft position etc. Is an opinion. You don't know the make up of a player until they get on the field. Sure guys who get drafted in the first couple of rounds get the best chance and supposedly the most upside. If you have two guys that are equal one is a 2nd round pick and one is a UDFA that guy with the bigger contract is going to get the longest leash.
Although I understand the draft we can't kid ourselves on how many guys are misses every year. How many 1st round draft picks have missed since Shuler was drafted. Hell the two best QBs for the Redskins since Shuler was drafted were Trent Green (8th round pick by San Diego) and Kirk Cousins (4th round pick.) JMO.
3rd and 4th round picks are the very definition of "middle round" picks, as opposed to late round picks.well lets simply go with the odds of late round draft picks making it long term in the nfl . now counting on late round picks to become long term rookie starters and contributors isnt the way to do business . you dont bank on outliers , you hope they make it , but you dont say they are instant upgrades
that also applies to UDRFA's you hope they work out but counting them as yr one upgrades is foolish
