~ spoilers ~ incase anyone is going to watch these games back-to-back this morning

Well, this takes the pressure off of watching the Mex-Uru game (destined for a draw).
France is down 1-0 to S.A. early, and down to 10 men. Goodnight Irene. what a trainwreck.

Not so fast. Uruguay takes a 1-0 lead right before half and with South Africa's 2 goals, the goal differential between Mexico and South Africa is down to 2. This could get very interesting.

That goal by France should just about do it. Uruguay and Mexico will advance. It got exciting though, can't complain about that.

yup ... I called tied all the way but I underestimated the extreme desire on both teams part to avoid Argentina in the QFs

Quite the drama today. Nigeria lost their first two games and was down in this match with only 20 mins. to go. Somehow they have a chance to move on if Arg. holds and they can score one more here. Craziness.

Holy shit, did Domenech really refuse to shake the hand of the South African coach?
that clown can't disappear fast enough.

In honour of this, France was somehow awarded host status for UEFA 2016
France chosen to host Euro 2016

Hopefully it's the three toothless kittens that go home tomorrow....although if they move on I won't be that upset. Cakewalk group and bracket kind of forced me to pick them to make the top eight. Still, would be funny if they didn't even escape that "Group of Life".

Yes, win and in for the U.S. They can also tie and get in if England ties and doesn't score a lot of goals. For the sake of the next round though, they need to win a game.

I'll watch the USA game because it's my country, but I have to say, soccer is the most boring sport
