I'm going to vote that the video was done like that on purpose. The "Friday" song was very popular (doesn't matter if it was mostly negative) and she got her face in the spotlight.

Other people are going to try and copy that because they don't care how they get their 15minutes, they just want to be "famous."

And with the actual music out there right now, they really need to step up and try making it sound much shittier.

Here is a video I saw posted on the WC, and I guess she got so upset over the negative feedback, she deleted her Youtube account?

Does the three-second rule correspond to how long a sane person can watch the video?

Considering she looks to be in her 40's or so, I have to assume that she was really serious when making that video, and thought it was good?

Should have stuck with a sex tape instead. She could have made the song about the guy being a 1 pump chump lasting 3 seconds.

Listen to that background singing at about 2:35. Her kids and grandkids are totally putting her in a 3rd class home in a few years for embarassing them like this.

Yes you no doubt guessed right. This thread is being bumped for this fucking nonesense that's been going around for a couple of weeks. :L

I honestly don't get what the massive appeal is. Is this the Macarena of the 2010s? If I see anyone dressed like this guy for Halloween I'm gonna throw up.

It's a funny video. It's a weird chubby korean guy doing weird dance moves. It's very awkward at times.

What's not to like? Seriously, I never get why people get bent out of shape just because a joke gains some worldwide traction.

Different strokes I guess. I can honestly say I don't see anything remotely clever about that video.

Fair enough. But I wonder how much reactions are affected by the context in which the video is presented.

Friend: "Hey check out this weird Korean video."
Julian: "Oh my god, this is ridiculous. Is this for real? Heh. I wonder if I could do that horse dance."

Worldwide media: "HOW HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF GANGNAM STYLE?"
Julian: "What's the big frakking deal?"

I believe they are very much affected. When a friend 1st showed it to me, I politely laughed as though I was mildly amused and then turned it off after about 20 seconds. I wondered what in the world made her think I needed to see that so bad and I wrongfully assumed that I would never hear or think of it again and that it would soon be a forgotten memory. Now it seems there is no escaping it and well I just don't get what the big deal is at all.

Personally, it cracks me up. PSY somehow comes across as funny and cool at the same time. And it's pretty damn catchy. I think it's a fun time.

Ok, I didn't want to brag about this, but I made a brief cameo in that video. That's why I was gone for a little bit. I had to tour a bit and promote it as well.

It was semi-enjoyable.

So that explains why the NHL is still locked out. Gotta get your priorities straight, horseman, so get back in there and start negotiating. See, my theory is that IPW is actually Gary Bettman. Evidence times!

1. He frequently makes 100! and such type posts, taking credit despite not adding anything valuable to the discussion. Gary Bettman gets paid lots of money, despite not adding anything valuable to the NHL.
2. Whenever he posts a .gif, I burst out laughing. Whenever Gary Bettman says "I think <unimportant rest of sentence>," I burst out laughing.
3. Gary Bettman is probably receiving about 100 of pounds of hate mail per day with the lockout looming. IPW can lift 100 pounds over his head.

Honestly, if that proof were any more ironclad I'd have to call it the USS Monitor.
