Pratt improved his morning show ratings in his final quarter at tsn and they still gassed him. If snet wants to boost its ratings, this is an easy move imo

On a related Sportsnet 650 note, I'm curious what other people think of the play-by-play work of Brendan Batchelor - I just think he doesn't have a great voice for radio and he doesn't seem to reach the crescendos that a good play-by-play guy should when the play gets exciting.

I'm not surprised by jstew's tweet above, TSN 1040 in my opinion has by far the better talent, Halford and Brough are funny and engaging personalities and then they hand things over to Donnie and the Moj which I realize are not everyone's cup of tea, but they have the long time loyal listeners and then you have Sekeres and Price who are right there with Halford and Brough in my opinion.

Sportsnet radio is bad across the board - their morning slot here is behind Landsberg and Carlo Colaiacovo in the mornings and even Bob McCown is bleeding listeners to Jeff O'Neill and Jamie Fucking McClennan in the afternoon, especially since he inexplicably brought Richard Deitsch on as a co-host (because who wouldn't want an NY-based SI media writer to give his analysis on the Leafs lol).

I also get that SN owns the Jays but holy fuck do I not give even the smallest rat's ass about them right now and 75% of SN's airtime is dedicated to them, especially by McCown (mostly because I'm 90% sure he's watched maybe 5 Leaf games this year).
