I used my shovel three times yesterday clearing away snow and just now, a couple of young lads offered to clear away some snow for me for a cash donation. Get to work, boys lol

I have a gas blower. I do the entire side of my block’s front sidewalk and clear a couple of driveways after the plow fills them up.
Yesterday I went out and the city had come by over night and pushed all the curb side snow onto my clear sidewalks.
So I fired up the blower and had it all clear in 30 minutes.

I should add that my actual driveway is a tedious thing as it is compacted gravel. So I have to be careful I don't blow rocks all over my lawn, etc. I made some little "skis" for the front end to keep it up an inch or som. But once I get to the concrete, I drop it down like a lowrider...

Except for the first morning where the snow was pretty deep, my new cordless snowblower basically feels like I'm vacuuming the sidewalk.
So easy.

Very happy to have it.
Ever cleared a patch on my lawn for the dog to pee.

They started using renewable natural gas because climate change.

They sent a pamphlet last summer saying “will prices go up now? No. But they may in the future” and then immediately asked for a 17.5% hike from the regulator lol

Anyway, today’s high is -1

In 1965 our class made the haj down to Victoria to do the legislature.
We spent 2 nights in the Strathcona. Heading home on Friday I realized I had left my teddy bear in the hotel. I had brought it because I’ve had the teddy bear since I was a wee bairn and the girls in the class really thought he was cute. Anyway, I still have him in a bread bag in my sock drawer.

It has been doing laps around the valley last few days. They had to replace all 4 engines with the ones from the Hawaiian Mars which is now high and dry in Victoria.
I thought the Navy colours looked great against the snowy backdrop.
