OT: Tom Izzo stays at MSU

Tom Izzo is one smart guy...Why go to the Cavs when you don't know if King James will be there?

Right move. He has no way of knowing what LeBron is going to do. MSU'll be right back in the national title hunt next year.

Right move regardless of LeBron because the Cavs are not the Celtics, Pistons, Lakers, Spurs or Bulls.

Good move for Izzo. I think mostly he's just really happy with his life at MSU and doesn't feel he needs to "prove" anything in the NBA. I saw a thing on HBO sports about he and Steve Mariuchi who were best friends growing up. He just seemed like he never wants to leave MSU - he's happy, his family is happy there, and he's doing exactly what he wants to do where he wants to do it. Something to be said for that and it's nice to see people turn down more money for happiness from time-to-time.

Well, when the MSU AD broke down and said he/she would do everything humanly possible to keep Izzo in town, I would have to think Izzo was contemplating what specifically "everything" might entail.
