Damian Warner's time of 10.12 seconds in the 100m would have qualified him for the men's final and his long jump of 8.24 meters would have won the bronze medal. That's pretty incredible.

So as a kid I might have been in the driveway shooting a three yelling "Jordan for 3!"

i bought a new basketball hoop for the kids early spring this year. In high school I could dunk a tennis ball and the kids have seen my high flying aerial ability on the local elementary school outdoor 8 foot hoops. So naturally they wanted to see it on the new hoop after I set it up. Started at 8.5feet since theyve seen me DESTROY!!! 8. Then 9 foot and I still managed to dunk. Then they wanted to see 9.5 and I knew it had a fair chance to end very badly for me. Big run up ... jump ... failed completely / rejected by the rim ... strange click in my ankle on landing ... immediate heel pain that lasted for a few days ... now I have a grape sized knot in my heel that has yet to go away ... still able to run on it but I hobble out of bed every morning... kinda think completely tearing my achilles there would have been the better long term result


/morale of the story ... dont have kids!
