I just priced gold per gram and if the 1st place medals were pure gold, the gold itself for each medal would cost roughly $12,750.

With nearly 340 gold medals given out, it would cost more than $4.3 million for the gold alone.

Then again, that seems small given the construction price tag for the 2020 Olympic Games fell somewhere in the $15-25 million range. I guess you gotta cut corners somewhere.

saw the medley he competed in last night. All the cdn announcers said about him was he was controversial lol. That his dad who was never a swimmer was his coach and he did some weird training regime apart from the rest of the us swimming team. I didnt know anything else about him

he was first at the final turn with 50 metres to go and finished 5th. Karma i guess lol
