My boy has earned two new valuable "true netminder" stripes.

Before today's game, after warm up, he skated up to the team who was listening to the head coach and blurted out "shoot stick side on him". I asked why, and the whole team stopped and listened. He said "His stick doesn't match the rest of his gear, and I want someone to break it." (gear was black and white, his stick was red and white for those wondering)

Then...

Team got off to a slow start and we were down 3-0 after the first. 2 breakaways and a 3 on 1. Team gathered around and one of the forwards said "Sorry, we didn't help you out much". He said. "It's cool. They won't get any more."

We won 7-3.
