You would have expected a French bakery to not mess up "Bastille Day".

Pluto's like a third of the size of our moon. Pluto is tiny.

If Pluto's a planet, so is Eris, which is much larger. But at least Pluto is bigger than Ceres, so I guess it has that going for it.

Also kind of interesting, Charon is big enough compared to Pluto that the center of mass between the two is in the space between them. That gives it a really unusual orbit.

I've read that Eris is more massive than Pluto, yet it is not larger than Pluto in volume.

In any case, this is exciting. Can't wait till tonight when the information is expected to reach Earth from the New Horizons.

Are you sure it doesn't just look really small because of how far away it is? This reminds me of my honeymoon when my wife said that my....um never mind.

New photo of Pluto. This is ground-breaking stuff. Can't wait until this evening when the first information is expected to be received from New Horizons closest fly-by of Pluto

Pluto???

I thought it was the back of Pierre Macguire's head.

So are you saying that we should be immigrating people from Charon to fill jobs that Americans are unwilling to do?

I think he's saying that they need to move the Coyotes to Pluto, which is much more centrally located than Glendale.
