OT: This is just Wrong

I recently learned that back home the kids get today off, but not Veterans Day. I'm sorry, but that is just flat out wrong! Since when did Christopher Columbus do something that was more important than the men and women who fought for our nation. Christoper Columbus did nothing but inslave Natives and lead to the Spanish Conquestadors of middle and South America, meanwhile the men and Women of our country have fought to protect the rights of our nation.
