OT: Things we find freaking neat but no place to post

Calgary has done a pretty good job with COP (Canada Olympic Park) as well as the Olympic Oval (although they need to pour more funds into renovations/repairs of the Oval). Saddledome obviously is still being used. I'd like to think that the facilities built and used by Canadian athletes from the '88 Games in Calgary helped athletes achieve great success at the 2010 Games in Vancouver.

I have been to some great open parties/concerts in the oval. Saw Spirit of the West there. I was front row for the anniversary of the Games and they were playing, lead singers Mic didnt work so I started singing at the top of my lungs the song (Save this House) and got the crowd going. fuck that was awesome.

This is neat. And really kinda sad. How could Beijing have so many abandoned sites?
