The San Francisco Bulls joining the ECHL has brought back memories of my playing days. They are fixing up the old Cow Palace which is 71 years old. I received one of the biggest beatings I ever got in a fight there. I was new to the Spokane Comets and the trainer gave me tight gloves and everyone knows a fighter needs loose ones. Larry McNabb was the heavy weight champion of the WHL. He was so big he had no neck. The linesman tied me up and McNabb broke his hand on my head and was out for 8 weeks.

I played hockey against McNabb's son for a lot of years. Dude was a monster as well.
Grapes always used to say he won that fight, because McNabb was the one who ended up in the hospital :)

I found this to be pretty neat;

Last night I got the number assignments for squirt conditioning that starts on Monday. Kind of like a dev camp they assess each player by number and assign to teams based on those ratings to even out the teams.

So I'm looking and I tell my son, "looks like you got number 20, red team."

He says "Cool, 20 red. Just like that Russian guy you like."

As I am beaming with pride on that, he says "When we get to pick our numbers I want 43 though."
