How efficient are things in your neck of the woods for getting your child in for a MRI? Of course, I can shell out the $895, I can get it done next week.

/If I stick with public healthcare, I'm probably waiting a year :tsk:

If you throw another 0 on the end of that figure you'd basically have what it costs to get an MRI here.

When I had them peek at my knee last year, I had to wait three months to get into the big machine. Plus I had the benefit of paying through the nose for it.

And there are MRI places on every street corner down here. The one I went to was between a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Nail Salon in a strip center. I am not making that up.

There's gotta be some kind of happy medium.

Yeah, I don't know quite what the final number worked out to be, but that one event tapped my deductible for the year. I paid a grand.

First time in three years I'd used any of my deductible.

Yeah, it's totally out of control.

My wife had a minor procedure done a few months back and we got copies of all the bills even though she has insurance.

Every time one showed up I :jaw:

I lost (most of) a chiclet a month ago, and after insurance paid their part, I owe 1200.

For ONE tooth. Not even a whole tooth, a crown. 2nd year in a row I'll be hitting my deductible.

I want to know what the dentist is making on it.

The Mrs is happy because the 18th anniversary gift is "porcelain" and we don't need a new toilet.

I can't figured out exactly what happened. I don't think Christy Clark won this election as much as Dix blew it.

Edit: CBC says Dix is elected in his riding, but Clark is trailing in hers (lol)

I think BC voters sent a message tonight that jobs and the economy currently trump environmental concerns.

/I blame transplanted Albertans who now call BC home (lol)

Tax credits for the bc film industry ??? And ??? Anything???

Tax and Spend spend spend

Im all for increasing spending on social programs ... If you can find a way to increase govt revenue to pay for it
