OT: The Walking Dead - BEWARE OF SPOILERS

It's actually a really boring episode in which they only gather crops and play cards. Last line of the episode is...

"And that's 31 days without an accident!" (applause)

They have one of those signs in the prison that count the days without an accident and then in the final scene of the episode Rick is flipping back to Zero.

just got book 9 sunday ... finished it ... couldnt get enough so I ended up reading the rest of the released volumes on youtube ... just DAMN! ... will there ever be a Negan in the tv series?

There's another deadly character from Robert Kirkman's comic book series: Negan, the bat-wielding, head-smashing leader of a group called the Saviors. He debuted in "The Walking Dead" #100, but according to Kirkman, Negan could make his television debut earlier than expected.

There is no way Negan will be left out of the show.

Can you imagine the teaser? Remember Michone and the Prison from the finale of S2? I am thinking the same for Negan...

The final scene is a silhouette of the legs and lower back of a man walking into the setting sun. As he gets further from the camera, the silhouette of a barbed-bat is seen as the man drops it from his shoulder.

Michone vs Gov in the Comics made me VERY uncomfortable. Negan may be a better character than the Gov, but they have not come close to intensity of the Michone/Gov conflict.

I liked the zombies through the roof too. Kind of silly, but fun to watch and it built up some tension.

His name was Patrick! He had a name you know......*sniff* *sniff*

That's actually a very good theory. I bet it is true. Wonder what it could be. Maybe something they ate or drank was contaminated. If so, there will likely be a few more casualties.

Kind of a dull ep, IMHO, but that is OK. It was clearly a table setter. I figure te prison will be out of te picture by mid-season.

I think Sasha may end up being Patrick-Chow. Remember the trail of blood from the trailer and Tyresse going nutzo? Would make sense...

Yeah that was cool. She was pretty nonchalant when he was leaving too and hoping for some sort of hero's goodbye. Not sure she was really all that into him. She was probably only with him because he was probably the only one around in her age range. Carl should stick with the new younger girls. Beth's boyfriends are 0 for 2 in not becoming walker bait.

How can they walk/crawl if they do not have a circulatory system? How can they "hunt" if they can't see/smell/hear/etc?

If that is too much for you to accept, I understand. For me, the show is solid enough, and the genre is established enough, for me to accept these "holes" and move on. I have a bigger issue with Rick surviving for months(??) in a coma without doctor supervision. That is a plot hole that the zombie genre does not forgive.

I hear ya. The only reason I thought about this is because I remember a Talking Dead episode where they flashed a quick blurb about having to edit out the breath of the people playing the zombies from the scene in the Season 2 finale when zombies were descending on Hershel's farm. The blurb said that it was cold that night when they were shooting and that they had to edit out the breath because zombies don't breathe. Then last night when I was watching the season premiere and Rick took his headphones off, we immediately heard the zombies making sounds and I thought about that blurb.

As far as Rick surviving in a coma. Divine intervention, maybe?

no idea but I agree you have to give some disbelief. Im surprised Puckhead hasnt brought up how clean the hyundai was for all season 2 and 3

this was a set up episode so I gave it some free run. it was ok not season 3 opening great but ok. cant believe we are season 4 already. my wife mentioned I hope they dont go soap opera with people hooking up all the time now. was that hug between beth and daryl really uncomfortable or what? I did like how non chalant she was about that kids death.

as for the other kid that died in the shower. when he walked out of his cell was that sweat at his feet or blood? he looked like he left tracks. if its sweat I get it once the virus kicks into full time you sweat um like a pig (there has to be a connection there with Violet) but if it was blood was it coming out of his ass? was he bit sometime that we didnt see? I dont like the producers turning daryl into a rock star in the group. he never seemed like that type of guy that would enjoy it in seasons 2 and 3 but almost relished the treatment in camp at the prison in this episode. things that bug me why the fuck would rick have headphones on in this world? with the governor still out and him knowing there are people still wanting to kill people why would you put yourself in such a vulnerable spot not to hear anything coming I understand its to keep out the zombie noise but it seems careless (that being said the talk Herschel gave him about not going out without his gun seems to me he just doesn't care as much anymore) also why would they have so many thing hanging inside the prison making it difficult to see what or who is walking around. ugh.. its like teenagers in a friday the 13th movie.... oh something strange is going on. better have sex and ignore it all. speaking of which. what is with maggie being so domicile to glenn now? that seems out of character. and hey Tyrese grow a sack man you get some lovin and all of a sudden you are wishy washy about zombies out at the fence and out on the road. you survived for months walking you should have been tough enough by now. that new guy with the alcohol problem is going to be a problem in the prison. he seems OFF and really unstable. I did like the store scene up to the helicopter falling through the roof it looked so CGI and badly done.

anyone watch talking dead after? scott gimple the new showrunner was on it. I hope he never does another he was pretty bad and was forcing so much onto the fans with how he was talking about season 4 going to be so cool. dont force it man as long as the writing is good the show will do it for you.
