Love the edited thread title with the disclaimer. I'm usually 1 of the first to comment after watching an episode and tend to be a bit vague to avoid being accused of spoiling.

yeah after seeing some people get spoiled on facebook its best we have that up there. this show thrives on surprises and it just wouldnt be nice to walk into one of those.

Martinez crossed my mind while it was happening, but in TTD, Holden stated, 100% given, that it was Milton. Interesting that they kept the face away from the audience, though.

Side note on Andrea...

In TTD, she stated that her action figure is due to be released in September. I guess that means she will not die this season...

I don't think it's Martinez. He's too loyal to the Governor at this point. I thought it could be either Tyreese, Sasha, or Milton. Based on Tyreese having no clue when asked by the Governor, I eliminated him as a possibility. That eliminated Sasha for me, too, because she wouldn't do anything without telling Tyreese. I agree that it's gotta be Milton.

I do not know how they will deal with the Gov' moving forward without the story becoming stale. Morrisey is signed on for 1 more season, though, so he won't die in the next couple eps.

I have a hard time seeing them come to any truce, though. Merl, Andrea, Tyrese and Milton would NEVER trust him enough to allow that.

For the show to avoid becoming dull, though, they need to eventually get away from Woodbury and the Prison. The show has more potential while "on the run", I think

never crossed my mind about Tyreese group doing that. no access to vehicles or getting out of the town without being seen, it probably was milton (I dont think Laurie Holden knows and just assumed it was Milton

the actress that played Lori was signed up of this season as well and was killed off what 2 or 3 episodes in :D they could kill the governor and bring on a new threat pretty fast. but I believe the governor is around until end of season 4.

I didn't know Morrisey was signed on for another season. I had assumed that we would have resolution on the Governor v. Rick situation in the remaining episodes of this season. I guess we won't.

they talked about it a few times before this season began. they also talked about the prison being a 2 season story arc but that doesnt mean its all governor. one thing is for sure aside from Rick and I think Carl I really dont think there is one safe actor for the full 7 seasons (that is their target) for this show.

7 seasons of this.... yes PUHLEASE

Maybe they can bring back the group that Randall was a part of. Maybe they can be a threat again. I wondered if Randall's group was Woodbury, but I don't think so because IIRC, Randall said his group was about 40 people and that they were all men. How many are in Woodbury? About 70, right?

Yeah, there could be anything out there. The possible story lines are endless. Great stuff coming up for sure.

correct.

my question is how messed up will the next challenge be for Rick after the governor.

Don't forget that many months had passed between season 2 and season 3 so I wouldn't say it was entirely out of the question, at least not because of the numbers. I thought he said they had women and children too. The reason I don't think it was Woodbury was because his buddies in the bar seemed very desperate to find a place and wanted that farm. But again, it was months ago, so maybe that was the Woodbury group before they became Woodbury. I think it would be tough to make that connection at this point though with Randall and the guys in the bar dead.

Yeah, should be fun. I thought it was ridiculous how easily the Governor and his crew were able to take out the Army guys, but he is surely a dangerous and crafty foe.

Now

Possibly. Good point. You know a show is great when they have a talk show about it and you have fans like us who can't stop talking about it. The possibilities with the storyline are endless. I love it.

yeah me too, the only thing that kept me thinking it was plausible was the pilot gave every piece of detail of that camp to him before he was killed. in that world I just dont see trained guys like that with that much firepower get surprised in such an open area. it was too easy. maybe their sentries were killed so they didnt get alerted.

The only thing I could think of to make it plausible was that these guys were so worn down and hungry that they couldn't think straight. Certainly, trained military men wouldn't put their guard down like that when they see strangers approaching.

yeah. the LT seemed like a bit of a bumble too. the one guy did not look like he missed any meals I guess maybe they are off guard more by the fact that the governor mentioned the pilot by name etc... i guess he only needed a few seconds.

Based on Tyreese having no clue when asked by the Governor, I eliminated him as a possibility. That eliminated Sasha for me, too, because she wouldn't do anything without telling Tyreese. I agree that it's gotta be Milton.

If it was Martinez then I don't think it was done as an act of betrayal against the Governor but because he wanted to frame Tyrese. The walkers can be replaced fairly easily. Remember the last batch that Michonne killed. They found replacements in time for the fights no problem. So he could frame Tyrese and Sasha without causing too much of a setback to his and the Governor's cause.

With Merle gone Martinez seems to be the Governor's most trusted soldier/guard. He could escape Woodbury easily enough. I'm not so sure if Milton would be able to.

Edit - Didn't see TTD so I guess I'm not sure what the context was when Holden said it was Milton.

the more I think of it now the more I believe it was milton. I still dont get how anyone gets out of town at night without someone seeing it and reporting it.

fuck 2 episodes left. TWO...... arghhhhh thank goodness Game of Thrones starts the same night TWD ends

Interesting possibility, though I don't see why Martinez would risk his own standing with the Governor to frame Tyreese. He could easily just tell the Governor what Tyreese said and how he questioned the Governor's orders and stated that he wanted to leave. The Governor would then just decide what to do. It's not as though there is any due process at Woodbury that would require someone to be framed.

maybe martinez wants to run the show and keep making enemies for the governor? I dont think thats whats happening but who knows maybe

I wonder if we will ever find out how the infection started? or if it even matters at this point
