The third season of "The Walking Dead" just returned from a year-end break on Sunday, but if that weekly helping of zombie gore still isn't enough, there will soon be another way to get your fill.

Starting Thursday, AMC will begin re-airing the series' first season in glorious black and white. Why black and white? For one, it makes the show's bountiful blood and guts slightly more palatable for the squeamish, but it also evokes memories of the film that kicked off the entire flesh-eating zombie craze, George A. Romero's 1968 black-and-white horror classic, "Night of the Living Dead."

The move to re-air the series on Thursdays is designed to provide a boost for the channel's unscripted programs which are now airing on that night. The shows, which premiere following "The Walking Dead," include the second season of Kevin Smith's "Comic Book Men" and the two new series, "Freakshow" and "Immortalized."

- the occasional false dramatics are starting to bug me. "follow my lead little brother" would imply some trickery, not just standing back-to-back to fend off the zombie chans
- great graphic of the z poking his head into the hole in Woodbury's fence.
- Andrea is still useless
- Merle didn't take long to get back into 'dick-mode'
- my goodness those Hyundais stay clean.

- wonder when Daryl will come back to 'save the day'? (not sure with or without Merle)
- attaboy hop-along. good time to call out Rick. he was being a douche.
- bah... stupid ghost-whore ruined it. guess that woulda been too easy.

decent episode, but they're spending as much time creating problems as solving them.

I thought not. It seemed he just de-shirted her for show.

Steven Yuen was on the Talking dead post show and described "Glenn" as behaving like the spouse/boyfriend of a r*pe victim ... talked about how the viewer sees him interrupt Maggie during the group convo. and continues to perpetuate the victimization ... deep stuff ... dont usually watch talking dead but it was interesting sunday night (aside from seeing Kevin Smith sitting cross legged on a couch showing off his ham hocks)

thats what i dont get ... pretty sure she swore to him that nothing happened when they were re-united ... that there was no r*pe ... guess he doesnt believe her
