I dont think so, I think they like him and feel most of the problems have been injury ones. Now if you want Gomez......

Only one thing I wish they'd talk about or plan for a little more - the big picture.

The group is figuring out how to survive and get by. But there is almost zero discussion about trying to find out if there is any safezone out there, with trying to use a radio or something to contact others, etc. etc. They seem to have ample time on their hands now since they have reverted to hunter/gatherer and agrarian society. Maybe this is something that will come up as the series evolves. But I watch it sometimes and think, well, what is the long term plan?

And their defenses have been terrible, too. Even on the farm, from day one, they could have been building a stone wall with a ditch around it or something. Walker falls in ditch, toss fire in ditch, walkers all burned. Their enemy is relentless, but it isn't smart and it's actions are completely predictable. They could have built an inner-area on the farm that would have been impenetrable. Or rigged some explosions far away from the house to draw their attention away. A whole number of things that would have been better than what they had.

They've done a pretty decent job surviving. But their strategic planning is a freakin' mess!! ;)

I'm pretty sure in Season 1 they focused a lot on that and found nothing. Radio feeds were dead or some shit. Although my memory is shot.

I felt the same about the time on the farm. I can understand the city issues and am baffled that they spent so much time at the gravel pit in open space. but its only been about 4 months since the outbreak (as per the shows producer) so I will give them a pass on the gravel pit in season 1. but once they hit atlanta and the CDC was done and the army was done in that part it was time for a bigger plan. they were still running on rumours and had no chance until the farm and then Herschel wanted them off. and unless they were willing to kill that family it was still his farm, one that belonged to a man that didn't believe that the zombie outbreak was real and it was only a fever. he was in denial and it didn't seem that he wanted to change that. it wasn't until after Shane went nuts at the barn and did what he did that he finally got it. (so what does he do goes on a bender in an abandoned town lol) but now they have the bigger picture. they will discover the prison and it will seem safe and they will discover it is not (it can't be) and more surprises will be released as it goes Im guessing. going to be fun.

As much as I would dread living in constant danger and fear... A zombie apocalypse would be so much fucking fun.

What was up with the helicopter in the Season 2 Finale? That just hit me. I would start reading into the story, but I hear it differs a lot from the TV series, so I'd rather not.

its tied into the prison I believe and its been hinted at by the producers in the Talking Dead segments. I figured it was part of that anyway.

THE SITTING DEAD

So, apparently in Michigan there is a woman whose husband died a year and a half ago and she just left him in a chair and enjoyed watching TV with him. That is one lonely broad. She may be in trouble because she (a) didn't report it and (b) kept collecting his benefits checks. Oops. No word on whether he tried to bite police when they discovered the situation. I'm guessing their favorite movie to watch was Weekend at Bernie's.
