And with that episode this show moves off my must watch the night it airs list.

I'm agreeing with Comeds on this. I used to get excited about the show, not so much anymore. Leftovers a much bigger Sunday night draw for me right now.

The pace is just ridiculous. Yesterday's episode and plot deserved about 10 minutes of screen time. This season has probably stretched what should be 2 or maaaybe 3 episodes into 5.

The episode was good. Heck 5 of the 7 episodes so far this season have been AT LEAST good.

But that was a lame solution. And having a cliffhanger between episodes 3 and 7 is just weak.

This show has officially jumped the dumpster. I'm powering through Season 1 of The Leftovers to catch up to the current episodes. I think I'll be better served.

I think its been a pretty bad season, and I think it retrospect it will seem even worse because of how little happens.

My thoughts:
Episode 1: The B&W flashbacks were silly and had me worried but it turned out to be a good episode.
Episode 2: Excellent. One of the better episodes of the series.
Episode 3: OK, silly decisions abound.
Episode 4: Bad. Morgan resists all change then magically changes. I'd like to view it again removed from all the expectations of resolutions from earlier episodes but I haven't been able to make myself watch it again. I rarely watch the ones I like again, so to watch one I didn't is really hard.
Episode 5: Terrible. Maybe the worst of the series.
Episode 6: Really bad. Terrible dialogue, pacing, and decisions.
Episode 7: Bad, but seems better in relation to the previous month's episodes. Old themes rehashed again. Seriously, the Glenn crawling under the dumpster with the musical score was hilarious.

Basically for a month nothing happened more or less, that's not good. At least the wall came down so we wont see people wandering around saying things they said a few weeks ago this week.

I'm close. I watch because when the show is good it can be really good and usually the others are at least decent. The bulk of the episodes this season have not been enjoyable to me. However I have nothing else to watch on Sundays so I am not giving up yet.

Yet. Because I have a real bad feeling about the upcoming arcs. Unlike most, I wasn't a fan of the comic stories with the next villain.

I watched and liked the first season and have been DVR'ing the second but haven't started watching it yet. Same with Brooklyn 99. I'll catch up when everything else goes on winter break.

Toilet pool = genuis
Margarita pool = super genuis

season 1 was grueling to watch ... so dour ... so grim ... no hope ... i didnt mind it though lol

overall, were you a "Lost" fan comeds? ... because Leftovers has shed the despair of season 1 and taken on a "what the fuck is going on here" theme

I did like "Lost'. And while I have not seen any of The Leftovers I have read season 2 is greatly improved from season 1. I may give it a shot at some point.

Well if Season 2 is an improvement, I'm excited. I loved the whole dark, grim feeling of Season 1. Made me feel REALLY better about my life....

I never did make the connection to Lost but Leftovers feels very similar while watching it.

I've really enjoyed both seasons - interesting premise, deep characters and themes, and the music is outstanding. I tend to like shows that have fantastical realities or altered states of mind in them (Six Feet Under, Northern Exposure to name a few), and this show fits right in with them. I'm left thinking after each episode.

did you watch Lost eloco? there was some great quirky music in sundays episode

true about being left thinking after each episode (if not during).

Also like the linkages from the smallest seemingly inconsequential moments to the overall plot ... like last episode when the guard tells Kevin to "be like Jesus" when he goes to see Patty ... and then you have the final scene where ... well ... he is like jesus lol

I was a LOST fan. I might start watching the Leftovers after I finish binge watching Da Vinci's Demons.

/ive read a couple of reviews but didnt watch talking dead. If anyone did watch, did they discuss or 100% say that deanna was bit?

Yes there were teeth marks ... But she landed on a circular saw blade when she fell. The whole episode i felt she wasnt bit :noidea:
