best episode of the season by far ... throughout the episode I thought Carol was going to off someone ... I even thought she had the internal debate going as to whether she would take out Mika (she was too good) or Tyrese (he was too idealistic ... oh ... and she killed his ladyfriend) at different parts of the episode

Better than To Far Gone? That was a GREAT episode.

This is likely in my TWD top 5 (along with Pilot, Clear, Nebraska, Too Far Gone).

This really has been a week half season...the one bright spot is the killing of the sister but it doesn't make up for all the wasted episodes so far giving us a soap opera. A lot of this "drama" can be done much more efficiently and succinctly without the drivel stretching on for ad nauseum.

Great episode. I was hoping they would let Carl take care of Lizzy like he does in the comic book with Ben, but regardless I'm glad she is gone, she was a cancer.

OMG, definitely the best episode of the half season. Gut wrenching. Say what you will about the girls being annoying, it's still hard to watch children being killed.

Watching Talking Dead afterwards, Melissa McBride was still shaken up after filming the episode. She also said that the puzzle they were putting together was a picture of Sophia.

I think so too, but I ended up really liking last nights episode. 20 minutes in I was pretty unhappy with it but things picked up. I still think they could have given another group/character 10 minutes of time and the episode would have been better.

Oh, and where was the baby when they were walking away?

I think Tyreese was dragging Judith along by her back feet.

Wow! Thank goodness they stopped, that would have really been an unpleasant surprise for Carol!

What a great episode! After the prison this was the group I was most interested in. After Sophia died, I really didn't think Carol would last much longer or serve much of a purpose. Last season I was hoping for her to either die or do something interesting. She's now 1 of my favourite characters. I thought if she were to do anything unexpected it would be because she was weak and would be easy prey for the Governor to manipulate. I really like the direction she has gone instead.

After she put Lizzie down I was actually expecting Tyreese to figure it out on his own that she killed David and Karen (someone had to put David before Karen).

This definitely isn't a world for little girls. Sophia, Megan, Mika, Lizzie, not to mention Penny who was already a walker when we first saw her. Poor Carl better hope that Mexican little girl is still around somewhere.

On Talking Dead they kept talking about whether or not Rick would forgive Carol. I really don't think he was all that upset with her in the 1st place. He left her with supplies and a vehicle and seemed legitimately concerned for her but was confident she would survive on her own. Although he didn't seem to agree with the decision she made, I think he could respect her intentions of doing what she felt needed to be done, and he was doing what he felt needed to be done. When he finds out Tyreese forgave her I'm sure he'll be cool with her rejoining the group. Then there is the whole thing about her potentially reuniting him with his(?) infant daughter that he assumed was dead. Pretty sure he'll welcome her back to the group.

They also speculated on Talking Dead about where the fire was coming from and whether or not it was the cabin. I think it absolutely was the cabin and I'm pretty sure the producers never intended that to be up for debate. I think they wanted to give an idea where and when these stories were unfolding in relation to 1 another.

Finally, after watching a sneak peak of next week's episode, I'm wondering if that group could be the same group that Randall and the 2 guys at the bar were part of. Remember when Daryl questioned Randall at the barn about his group? The way that guy was talking definitely reminded me of how Randall described some of that group to Daryl.

I TOTALLY disagree with this. This season has been well over a month. ;)

Until I watched Talking Dead, it never even crossed my mind that it was the Daryl/Beth's cabin burning. :L I just never put it together. I agree, though, that it almost certainly was.

I never thought about it either. But if it was their cabin, then where did all the extra crispy zombies come from? The cabin was empty when they burned it.

The fire attracted them, then the wandered away for whatever reason.
