While the ep was a but if a disappointment, it did move the story along and set up next week. Next week is supposed to be "brutal". I would be surprised if they go directly to the finale if the hunters arc in the one episode, though. We haven't even met Gareth yet.

My guess is that there will be a rather intense showdown between Joe and Rick with that arc concluding, possibly before they get to Terminus. When they get to Terminus, they are greated by Tasha Yar and they fill their bellies with some odd-tasting steak. At the end, they will find a leg-less Beth (maybe with some other limb-less people) in some sort of dungeon. End of season.

It has been reported that there will be a massive cliff-hanger this year.

If it turns out this way, I will be disappointed in the season as a whole, even though it gave us two of the best episodes we have seen thus far. The show used to be about payoffs. Now it is all about the tease. Teases are frustrating as hell, and end up leaving a sour taste.

Joe said that he saw the other guy do it and wanted to see how far he would take it, I think that is what happened. but I agree with what you think Joe thinks of DAryl

Pretty convenient dont u think?

I get the feeling joe put the bunny head in daryls sack

The rules are written by joe for joe to survive imo .. I think he saw daryl as a more calculating thinker than dude they killed

Good theory. I doubt it will ever confirmed (how can it) but I like the thought.

Daryl clearly does not like the group. He has become an indoor cat, and he likes it. He enjoys catching the mice for the entire family, not just himself.

General thoughts...

I am not sure how long it will take for Eugene's affectation to drive me nuts. Too bad, because the character becomes soooo important later on.

I liked how Rosita called Glenn out for being a dbag towards Tara, and Tara's silent approval at her take on the situation. I think that led to Glenn's actions in he tunnel. Rosita ended up saving Tara's life.

Eugene making a stand this early in his story arc is interesting. Maybe the character himself will allow me to overlook the affectation.

How were they able to keep Denise Crosby's casting a secret? Well done, AMC. Well done.

Essentially a fourth consecutive ep without Rick (one short scene hardly counts). Not sure about ratings, but the reviews have been pretty clear. Rick is critical to the show.

if that actually happened (joe putting the head in daryls bag), the way the writing has been this half-season, i wouldnt be surprised if they divulge it in some way

Interesting, but the ONLY resemblance is the ponytail going over the left shoulder. Hair tint is different and Mary has a more pronounced part.

Also, the family appeared to a murder-suicide. Why would Mary have attempted to stage that in a post-ZA world?

I dont know. Maybe its a coincidence. Maybe its a red herring. I do think its alike enough to be intentional.

She didnt have to stage it herself. Maybe the family went to Terminus (Cheerful name!) and saw what it was and lost hope (and/or family members) leading to the murder suicide. Maybe thats what the "no" on the painting means, no sanctuary.

spittballin ... but maybe to get survivors who come across it (the scene) change their minds (if they saw the terminus signs on the railroad tracks and thought against going there initially) and decide to head to the "safety", "civility", "humanity" of Terminus :noidea:

I guess but it makes more sense for him to allow it to happen to see how he can thin out his own herd and keep the strongest and ones that wont lie or steal to keep his order. I believe the character on what he said.

that group is 100% wolf pack

Anyone want to take a stab on who the major character rumored to be killed off next week will be? I'm going to go with Maggie since she had to burn that picture that Glenn was carrying of her and she said that they will never be apart again.

I don think any main character goes it will be Tara as they needed fodder for that without sacrificing a fan fav I do hope it's Daryl or Glenn however

Here is a promo that aired in New Zealand for the final episode, it is quite different than the promo that aired here in the US:

2 episodes to the end and they go average? to me that is terrible. the terminus better be something pretty interesting and different from woodbury and the prison to have this much lead up to one episode at the end. is it me or did they just allude to <comic book spoiler> </comic book spoiler>

Last week's episode was pretty intense and next week's is sure to be, so I'm alright with this episode being more of a build-up to the season finale. There was some interesting stuff that happened.

Seasons 2 and 3 had some pretty intense 2nd to last episodes. Shane died in season 2 and last season it was Merle. But they seem to be going with the same formula as season 1 where the final 3 episodes went from intense, to not so intense, to intense again. The way last night's episode ended reminded me a lot of the 2nd to last episode of Season 1 when they arrived at the CDC.

What I don't get it why Daryl's not looking for Beth. I mean he's a tracker and it would seem he'd have a much better lead for her than he did for Sophia. I can't imagine there are a lot of fresh tire marks in the zombie apocalypse. Could it be that he thinks this group "claimed" her and he's hoping they'll lead him to her somehow?

Why would a car leave tire marks on a paved street? There is nothing he can do. He was completely deflated when Joe ran into him on he road. He has given up... Again.

Joe said that they were tracking the person that killed the member of their group inside the house, so Daryl knows that these guys are good at what they do. If he were to just take off and leave the group, they would probably start hunting him down as well. I have a feeling we are going to see that blue car parked inside the gates of Terminus and a hot off the grill Beth is going to be what's served for dinner.
