Yeah!!!

You'll have to tell us how the kiddos do on these questions. :)
I'm actually a little bummed that I'm not proctoring this one because I have to travel with Tennis (I'm thrilled, it's true). I really wanted to see the reactions to the long question.

I HAVE GRAVE NEWS. So I'm grading my tests, and I get to the extra credit portion. One. One of twenty six students knew Gretzkys number. Good news eloco, the picture is the one who got it.

Their, They're, there... you got that one wrong, youngin.

The answer is "incorrectly".

Do you give essay questions? I mean probably not. If they got Gretz wrong and missed Incorrectly then an essay question is probably not a great idea.

Not generally, but hey, final exam=anything goes. Funny story from this test: @elocomotive (we can tag names now??!?) had a typo in that question, and a kid circles it for the incorrectly question and says "havnig"? Gave them a point for being a funny smart ass.

In his defense a lot of people do use them incorrectly.

Did anyone get the 'incorrectly' question correct?

I believe there were three or four. More were going with what they misspell often, missing the point entirely.

Also, only one got San Francisco. Many put down Seattle. And others thought it was a trick and put "United States".

That is the coolest!! Hahaha. Thanks for sharing, Pix. Love it. :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Oh man, his taunting and your response are so perfect.

Btw, do hashtags work with pen and paper? If not, why hasn't Twitter fixed that? ;)

I have a suggestion for you. What is the name of the force force, generated by backspin, which causes a fastball to rise? HINT: It shares its name with probably the first name of a World's Strongest Man competitor from Sweden.

Iceland I believe, not Sweden.

That's about the only thing I remember about World's Strongest Man. I don't even think I could name another competitor, let alone tell you what country they're from. But I remember that when someone had to move something heavy at my fraternity house it was sometimes accompanied by an exclamation that "This is for Icelaaaannndddd!"

You could have picked virtually any country and the name Magnus, and you'd still be right. There were a ton of Magnus's in that competition.

But the guy I was thinking of actually is Swedish. Magnus Samuelsson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ah OK, you must be a little younger than me maybe? Because Magnus Ver Magnusson was the unquestioned star of that shit for a stretch there when ESPN first started featuring (and constantly 3 am replaying) it.

You could always go with a classic that I enjoy: Name the Original 6 NHL teams.

During which two Olympic games did the United States men's ice hockey team win the gold medal? Bonus points for naming the location of those games.

Name the five original categories of Nobel prizes (one point for each correct). Bonus points for correctly naming where each is awarded.

Name either the town or island which contains the town considered the World's northernmost settlement of greater than 1,000 people. (proper spelling not required as long as it's close)

This week's winner, for Nobel prizes! THE NOBEL PRIZE FOR EXTRA CREDIT QUESTION OF THE WEEK!

One point for each field seems incredibly generous. I would all but guarantee that a student knowing nothing but the existence and general purpose of the awards could guess 5 answers and get at least 2 of them right, don't you think?
