he's already showed some ability as a starter. it took mcnair a while to have success. young won't get to that level, but he can be effective as a starter as he has shown.

Vince Young really hasn't shown that he is an effective starter for any extended period of time. McNair was a far better NFL quarterback.

There is a difference between starting QB and franchise QB.

Vince Young can be a starting QB but as far as franchise QB the answer is very unlikely.

Simply hasn't shown he's capable of the mental aspect of the job and that's pretty evident since Reid decided to dump him.

as i said young won't be on the same level as mcnair, but young did fairly well as a starter with the titans until he lost his head completely.

He was carried by the defense. The only time he did decent as the QB was for half a season when he came off the bench with no expectations.

he was still developing as a young qb. if his head was screwed on straight he would still be the titans starter. he wasn't gonna be going to pro bowls but he showed that he can be effective. the biggest question after the mental side of things was if he would ever develop into a consistent passer.
