I like your beard.
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE! OI OI OI! What a finish man.
mid 90's is average round.
so I'm happy if I get into the 80's (i.e. 'break' 90)
low round ever was 86
just need to work on consistency.
like everyone else, i would imagine
oh, and fending off a pesky slice
How's your putting? That's the best part of my game and saves me at least 5 strokes per round. My best round was 84 but that was in the spring with shorter holes as they were seeding the tee boxes. Best round from tee boxes was an 86 like you
If you can, I recommend taking a couple lessons from a local pro. He'll straighten out that slice
strength is probably lag putting.
I don't sink many from beyond 10 feet, but if I have a 30+ footer I usually nestle it in reasonably close.
Cold definitely use professional help, it's a struggle having my hands catch up to my swing
ah well, it would be a less interesting game with a perfect swing
Logging off but if you swing hard try slowing your swing a bit to a nice smooth swing. I cut 6 strokes or so doing that and hit it a lot straighter. Hitting long isn't good of it's 220 out, 50 to the right. Have a good night
No the new rule wasn't put in to save Tigers ass as he's never been penalized for a rules violation as a pro as far as I know. Look, I get it, you don't like him, but that doesn't mean he should be DQ'ed. And as for golf coverage, 70% of the players at Augusta are barely shown, if at all, and not all TV viewers have direct TV. Just because you're biased towards Tiger, probably because of his off the course behavior, doesn't mean you're right, which in this case (claiming the rule was put in place to save his ass), you're wrong. I'm done with this thread.
I didn't say the new rule was put in for Tiger. I said it saved his butt. I believe if it had been somebody nobody knew that golfer would have been disqualified. That's just my opinion. Tiger is in a league of his own. There will always be special treatment for the best players.
If it was a golfer nobody knew they wouldn't have been on TV and wouldn't have had a viewer call in the violation.
While that is true, I think part of the integrity of golf is officiating yourselves. Whoever he was paired up with didn't call it on him, no official called it on him, he did not knowingly sign an incorrect scorecard, as far as anybody knew no rules were broken that day. He should absolutely have been given the penalty, but should not have been DQ'd.

^^
When I started hitting far right, I started pulling one club higher and loosening up the swing a little. Like if the situation called for an 8, I'd pull a 7 and choke down bit and swing easier. Straightened me right out. Although, it gets me some ribbing when I hit a 3 wood off a tee when everyone else plays their hybrids. But that swing pace REALLY helps when I bring out the boom stick.
I also play bogie golf. I aim at 1 over on each hole as par for me. Par is often just unrealistic. It's all mental, but takes a lot of pressure off if your tee shot goes astray. Par becomes a birdie in my mind. Keeps me in the mid 80's usually.
