IMO that's just wrong. I don't care what a persons political beliefs are but sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut. I was around someone the other day that....well let's say wished something bad would happen to the pres and I told them "sorry but that's just plain wrong".

Doesn't matter if it's a PM or Pres, former or present you just don't do that.

Just my two cent's and I know people are entitled to their opinion and this is mine.

I agree. When you take it that far it doesn't reflect poorly on the deceased, it reflects poorly on the people who act so callow. She was more of man then any of the little boys in that picture.

Well said and I just noticed that all of the people in that picture are male.

Edit: There may be a woman in the back but almost all male.

Really depends what kind of political leader you're talking about though.

At one end of the spectrum, you have guys like Hitler or Saddam Hussein. I'd judge you if you didn't celebrate their deaths.

What about someone like Hugo Chavez? He didn't start any wars, but ruined a lot of lives. What about Castro? Putin? If any of those guys died, there would be those who celebrated, and I wouldn't hold it against them.

On the other hand, no matter how much you disagree with Harper (Canada's PM), he hasn't done anything remotely evil enough to merit that kind of reaction, were he to pass away. Same with Jack Layton, who recently died.

But Margaret Thatcher? She's probably closer to the latter end of the spectrum, but still somewhere in the middle. What if your family had been ruined by her personal war against Britain's coal industry? Or you lost a family member in the Falkland war? She affected a lot of lives in a major way, and not always positively.
