I managed to hack into your digital personnel file at work @Comeds

Is this the “unfortunate incident at company ball game outing” jpeg you wanted me to delete?

Yeah that's the one. Pretty embarrassing. Tena was really traumatized by my book cover phone case. Oh well, phone still worked.
Doesn’t sound like there is a company baseball outing this year. :noidea:

The figure I saw was 152 million "customers" in the USA. That's approaching half the country.

Can't wait to find out which corner got cut in order to save money and increase shareholder value in an industry that should never ever be for profit.

London Drugs has closed all of their stores for the past week due to a cyber attack.

You 'mericans might not have heard of it, but that would be like CVS or Walgreens saying "Fuck it, close the doors" for a week

Any retailer closing doors due to a cyber attack is insane. A week is absurd.

They are losing millions every day they are closed. I might have to move my prescription (have a doctor's appt. tomorrow) to a different pharmacy.

Apparently the post offices are open and they are manually doing prescriptions now at some locations.
Just from the article I read.

London drugs was a ransom ware attack.
Asking for $25 million, LD trying to negotiate down to $8mill.

The Russian group has all of the employee data, not sure what else.

I would imagine they lost more than $25 mill shutting down the whole of western Canada for all that time.

last year I dealt with a collections agency sent after me because Telus fucked up and thought I didn't pay a bill. They had an OLD account number and mixed it with my new one but didn't see one payment from a year before that... (dont get me started on the fact that they saw all my other payments on the new account number and couldn't put the facts together) . They Didn't contact me on my new contact information but only on my dead telus email account and sent the company after me. After 3 weeks of back and forth and an absolute nightmare of a time where Telus was so difficult I threatened to go to the press and they put me in touch one on one with a manager. She cleared it up and it was removed from collections.

fast forward to last week I got another letter from the collections company saying their data was breached and my information was hacked which included DOB, address, Full name and account (old account) number

nice work assholes. not even a sorry but you should watch your credit score letter.

back in the late 90s early 2000s when I was in gaming we got DNS attacks every week by Russian hackers demanding money. Our guys usually were skilled enough to get through it so we never paid and the smaller sites that they hit were just taken down and put up somewhere else. The hackers are far more advanced now as I think they are partially built from old security experts cast off by the dot com days.

This sounds like a lawsuit to me.

I'm still pissed that even though I have not been an AT&T customer in any way for over 12 years, they still had my info and it was stolen in a breach. Like, bitch you shoulda deleted my shit. Problem is that's going to be a class action and I will get a check for 11 dollars in 2032.
