Hah, good one. It's like experimental instrumental rock. Were thinking about getting a vocalist eventually. Acoustic and electric pieces.

i forget their name but there's a band from i believe finland they redo metallica songs with several classical instuments to it and despite how that sounds its actually pretty good.... i can't remember their name but they're relatively popular.
you wouldn't happen to know who they are would you?

Trying to start one up, not easy to find people into that music and are talented with their instrument. I love all kinds of music, I could never just be in one band that played one kind of music. Extreme metal is my true passion, so I'm trying to start a band up for that, and then I love experimental/progressive stuff, that's what I got going on right now. If I could get the band I'm in right now, to also do heavy shit, I'd be all set, guess time will tell.

Lol, I listen to jazz, blues, swing, classic rock, some funk, little bit of INTELLIGENT hip hop. But like I said my true passion is that cookie-monster crap, lol.

I'm like Jeff, I have varied musical tastes, but if I had to pick a genre of music that I gravitate to the most, it would be punk.

along with the conversation however i'd have to say i'm the same....

i'll admit i don't get into that really really heavy metal stuff that you especially see in norway, finland ect, but i do like your metallica's, occasional slipknot and pantera

i'll dabble in both country and rap, but as far as country goes it'll be mostly along the lines of johnny cash nothing to new, and rap i really won't listen to anything main stream... and i'll admit half the time i listen to it for the humor because sometimes the lyrics really are funny, wu tang clan, mos def, ect. but i'm with dare where if i have a staple its punk

misfits, clash, dropkick murphies amen
