every canuck link in this was easy money but I didn't think linden would result in 1% of people picking that. the scandella one was the only one I struggled with today.

I had a hard time with Canucks/Blues but eventually remembered the late Pavol Demitra.

Went and looked up the Canucks' first round pick list afterward just out of curiosity and Jesus Christ I did not realize how awful this team was at drafting during the Nonis-Gillis era. Was Aquilini doing the drafting himself those days??

I forgot about him being a blue. my pick is always my go to as the era we made teh best trades ever. thank you Pat Quinn.... . i hadn't realized my pick would be so unpopular amongst that game

for your second point Ill sum up that Nonis/Gillis era with two words

Patrick White.

nothings sums up to me the ineptness of our drafting and how we got lucky on trades to fix a few things temporarily (gillis trading White for Ehrhoff)

Thinking of a player who was on the Blues and Canucks I thought of one. RIP….Hard to believe it has been that long already!

they had a massive trade back in the 90's. plenty to choose from in that one.
I picked the local boy

i had the most trouble with the Sabres ones.

and yes, there was a draft/schmaft era here as well.
for a while there, i think they just picked the guy with the longest arms (i wish i was kidding)

2016 must be tough for Canuck fans knowing the next two players taken.
If you want a good laugh look at the Penguin drafts since Staal. Over the last decade of drafts the third leading goalscorer is now a 4th liner on the Leafs.
And this decade, yeah I know it is only four drafts in, the Penguins have a combined ZERO NHL games played out of all their picks then with 2013 being the last draft that has any contribution to the current team.

Usually, I mean at least in Leaf Land, the draft schmaft era involved trading first rounders. The Canucks made their picks they were all just absolutely atrocious.

No wonder Frankie kept letting Benning trade first rounders, look what his other GM’s did with them lol

For todays puckdoku there is ONLY ONE real answer for the Penguins/Blackhawks player and the hint is hair plugs.

I forgot he played for Chicago. I went with
Troy Murray

LOL...easy to forget and the fact he lost to the Penguins in their second cup win.

EDIT: Both times he was traded I feel it was a win for the other team.
And sadly the Scott Young to the Nordiques deal wasn't good for the Penguins as Fogarty was already on the tailspin.

Man, even this game makes me feel old
500 career games, and played for the Sabres.

My first thought is Gilbert Perrault
A whopping 4%
