2 day old news but worthy of a post

AC Milan sold Kaka to Real Madrid in June 2009 for €65 million. AC Milan got him back today for free.

I saw alot of Bale transfer analysis revolving around the economic boost Bale would give Real (ie selling tickets (yah right!) and shirt sales)

Im gonna say Kaka going to Milan will generate more revenue than Bales move even though Kaka is now pretty much caca ... when he left Milan attendance dropped 10k per season

hes back as potentially a shell of his former self and this happened yesterday ... he was just leaving a Milan restaurant after dinner with his family lol

Scary thought. MLS has a large quantity of players from very poor countries, the exact type of guys that match fixers prey on.

like declan hill writes ...mls uses a company to monitor all games for suspicious gambling activity and i think the easier targets are players playing domestic soccer in their home/poor countries with no hopes of going overseas

the more notable fix going on in mls is the david stern like way the league is making rules up as they go to make sure higher profile players end up in the higher profile soccer cities (ie dempsey going to seattle when portland had first spot on the dp list)
