not many outside of Vancouver would know who this was. not many inside vancouver would also know. Those that watched and loved the old Sports Page should. Paul Carson passed away from pancreatic cancer. I did not know him but was always a fan of his shows.

RIP Paul.

The Page has always been missed and now so will you.

true but alot of sports fans are influenced by his impact across canada

Sports Page was a great formula and tv stations across canada copied it even going so far as using the same name and logo

the list of broadcasters he hired and that are now recognizable across canada is immense

Paul Carson’s legacy spans both radio and television. He founded Sportspage, the iconic sports magazine show which made CKVU, UTV and then Global TV the destination for local sports fans. Sportspage also produced a host of sports media personalities, including Taylor, Barry Macdonald, John Shorthouse, Dave Randorf, Sean McCormick, Blake Price, Scott Rintoul, Craig MacEwen, Dan Murphy, Chris Hebb and others.

RIP to Paul

That's a pretty good list of sports guys right there, aside from McCormick (too smarmy and arrogant for my tastes, thinks he knows more than he really does).
